Except the Web Ref says:

"Some fans are probably aware that their idol may not have written the lyrics at this particular station.

When Paul Simon was homeward bound after a gruelling tour of Britain in September 1964, Widnes had two stations.

WCI lecturer Stephen Wainwright, said: "The new plaque is the culmination of intensive research that our four students conducted in investigating the Paul Simon story. Although it is debatable whether Simon actually wrote 'Homeward Bound' at Widnes station, the plaque has returned to its spiritual home."

I'll stick with Dave![kiss]

Hello Pads, Ill look for your song, I want to listen to it.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=X4ILM7EvGsA   To me this is .. meaningful too.. It reminds me of my University years, of the time when I lived in London, of other more personal moments of my life.. In this song , I find the 4 voices are in perfect harmony...

The Beatles are the soundtrack to my life..

For some reason I like songs with offbeat instrumentals in the middle such as Goodbye to Love -Carpenters; Isn't she Lovely - Stevie Wonder; Just the way you are, Billy Joel; and of course the Beatles - My Guitar gently weeps and Something in the way she Walks...( not the right name. ) etc

This song that was wrote and sang by the amazing Jimmy Cliff, it makes me go very quare!  Many Rivers To Cross http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lkMzuXlKQv8  Based on true life experiences (like me own songs) Even now his voice is even better, this was on Later with Jules Holland in 2003 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ykkVt7ZOIA If you ever get the chance to see him live, you must!

I have been looking for this record for the last twenty years, and could not get it on any compilations either! You never even here it on the owl radio, it's great to have found it after all this time! Everyone thinks of Dizzy when you mention Tommy Roe, but this was very special to me, as I was told back in Kildare by me Mammy "always have Heather on you for good luck" I eventually found Heather, and It was great having her on me!
