1.
The maximum amount of 8% worth's you can be required to pay is currently 8 644 € per year.  http://www.cmu.fr/userdocs/232-6_2007v2.pdf
I read this to be the figure above which one begins to pay the 8% ?[8-)]
  2.
Piddling with rain here & our satellite signal is, as usual b*****ed. All this halfway through tonight's prog & OH is incandescent.  Gents - you know the routine. "It never happens during the rubbish you want to watch", etc, etc. Anyway .............. which one got turfed out initially & then which one won it ? Thanks.
LOL opposite problem chez nous - Himself is the fan, but as no-one else has replied yet I'll have a go:  First out was (Yola?Yoda?) with the frizzy red hair,   winner was (James?) tall, thin chap also frizzy hair - apparently the right one won according to the approving grunts from the armchair... Sorry can't be more specific but only half listening as usual, trying to catch up with various fora.... HTH [:)]
  3.
.... Nigel and his lady from Illfracombe??
Didn't it turn out to be a Fluffypants type wind-up? ....[;-)] .
  4. My, doesn't time fly these days... (Must have been a good year tho' - can't remember a thing,  bit like the 60's I guess....)
  5.
A French translation will be available shortly.
Is that an English or French "shortly"?  [;-)]
  6. Phew! Thought for a moment my ISF return had been leaked...[8-|]
  7. Sorry to hear of your incident - I have experience of this and it is very frightening. Some questions first:   When was the chimney last swept?  What make/type of woodburner? What (type/age) wood have you been burning?  What are the other examples of "bodging"?  Was there much damage and are your insurers involved? Legality aside, this type of (non) installation is extremely common in France and it is possible that further action may/may not be worthwhile for you, depending on other factors above.

    Coffee Makers
Lastly, I just can't justify to myself the waste in those thick foil sachets that the coffee comes in.  OK they go in the recycler but it just seems OTT to me.
I have to agree here - I would just feel too guilty to use regularly...[:$] Plus,  we still try to avoid any products from the all-powerful Nestle if at all possible...
  9.
buy 20000 of shares, and they go up to 46000.
Damn!   That's where I went wrong....
  10. You may want to look through the "inheritance" threads at the following forum:                       www.headdonconsulting.com/board/ It would appear to give excellent, qualified advice, albeit not instantaneously...
  11. Do you people really have nothing better to do all day? (barely a glimmer and unlikely to improve much....[:$])
  12.

Not quite sure what you are saying, or even why you bother to respond.  I guess no vacancies on cruise ships for safety officers.   ams
Is it just me or does anybody else not understand this [8-)]
[:D]Thanks Ernie, don't have time to look in much so I thought I'd missed something - there again, maybe I have...[Www]
  13.
I thought caramac was being sarcastic......
.....MOI?  [Www]
  14. Mr Stewart is unavailable for comment, according to his spokesperson...
  15.
And I especially do not allow shopkeepers in France to have a superior sneering attitude - I am the customer and I can speak gobbley-dook if I want to, if they want my money, they earn it by understanding what I need...most people back down pretty soon and start being helpful (I think it is my no-nonsense attitude but the OH says it is my sweet smile)
Extraordinary...[:(]
  16.
and there is some £24 billion of our money in that lot.
Oh Llwyncelyn!   I am so sorry!   That's an awful lot to lose.....[:-))]
  17.
I'm not sure WHAT you could add to it. Maybe something like the "bugs" that go into a fosse?
I think that the "bugs" need - how shall I put it....rather more than that to function happily![Www]
  18. You don't want to hear this either but I'm pretty sure what you have is illegal - all grey water must go to your fosse toutes eaux.  In your case this would mean pumping, but this is not usually too difficult.  It would be very advisable to fit a "bac a graisse" as well. I'm sorry to say I don't think a filter on your present system would prevent the smells.[+o(] ps Who was your builder (no names, just info ie English/French/registered/insured etc...)[:)]
  19. In order depending on severity: 1.  Cerium oxide 2.  Brasso 3.  Paste made from mustard powder & vinegar
  20.
And who's this feeding them information [:)]
D.D.?     Obviously a nom de plume....[;-)]
  21.
We actually live in Italy and legal procedures here can be very long and sometimes fraught with problems of "missing" documents,  impartiality, etc.  Wondering if it is the same in France...
Yup - you'll feel right at home...[;-)] Sorry can't help specifically but wish you the best of luck
  22.
It ought to enable the French State to get rid of a few fonctionnaires too, didnt it?
You dear sweet innocent thing...[;-)]
  23. Oh thank you JK - my best (nearly my only) laugh in an otherwise rotten cr*ppy day..
