Ryanair charge an excess when you exceed 65 years of age and considerably reduce benefits when you exceed 70 years of age. There are much better policies available for us seniors.

    Travel Insurance

I injured myself in France a few years ago,was hospitalized for two days-my insurance company organized a taxi to the airport, flights for myself and my wife and a car at theUK airport to get us home and a driver to bring our own car home. However if I died in France,I do not think I would want to be re-patriated-I would be happy for my body to remain there for the rest of time.

    Travel Insurance

Many credit card companies offer some form of travel insurance free with their cards(I'm not talking the Super-duper credit card companies where you have to pay  to have an account)just your standard card but the cover is restricted to what you pay for;ie.if you used it to buy a ferry ticket, then your travel insurance is only valid while you are on the ferry but if you bought a whole inclusive holiday with your card, then you would be covered.

  14. Our Bathroom in France opens straight off the Kitchen(1988 build) and I think the British regs. have been changed to allow it-subject to certain conditions being complied with.
  15. Following up on the post about a chef "storming-off"-this happened in a restaurant that we frequent-the quality improved when the owner started cooking;also staying in a small hotel in Devon,I commented to the owner that the food the previous night was very good and she replied that it was the chef's night-off and the local postman stood in for him.
  16. My children call my wife and I "Mum & Dad";our Grandaughters and there are lots of them call us "Grandma & Grandad".When a salesman phones me and asks to call me by my christian name,he is told "Call me Mr. Cr**** or Sir".
  17. Probably wheeling his commission to the bank this morning.
  18. At the moment both Seafrance and P&O have special offers available. The Seafrance is cheaper but restricted to off-peak crossings;P&O are £9/crossing more but no restriction on crossings.
  19. A 1966 Laguna would not appear on their computer or do you mean the date error is only on here?If you should try to insure in your name with him as a named driver they will want details of his record including why he was refused cover.
  20. It does appear that most of the people who complain about Ryanair have not flown with them!! I have and I will use them again.
  21. I use them regularly from Stansted to Montpellier;always take off on time-always get in early.I take my own food and drink and have never had any concerns at all.
