  1. Thanks Clair, yes French suppliers. That's wonderful, superb............ Shall get on the case now. Regards Tony and Shaz
  2. Hello All, After a near disaster last week with missed mail, and after repeated attempts to get our UK address changed for Taxe, water, electric, phone etc etc etc we have come to the conclusion we need help! We dutifully had 'proper' letter written for us wich we sent to all our suppliers, who dutifully ignored them all! We need someone (who we will gladly pay (am I allowed to say that here?)) to pursue the various agencies in our name to get our address changed to the correct UK address. Any takers?? Just let us know how much ............... Thanks Tony and Shaz
  3. We are late, they got the address so wrong!!, just palying catch up this weekend when we finally traced it all, very scary.   Thanks for you help all.   Tony
  4. Hi, Silly question!! just writing a cheque for taxe fonciere etc and can't find out who we actually write the cheque out to...?   Republique Francaise?   Thanks for any input   Tony
  5. Well said! Might just give Michigan a go (not really, but the wife loves the tat) So to St Brieuc Leroy Merlin with my 'Carte Verte' and get a free magazine, plus the joys of a virtual strip search on the way out! Cheers all Tony
  6. Hi, Thanks, I get VERY intimidated in CQM, they take great pleasure in ignoring you! I will give this go and speak to the Francois. As you say I would never buy plumbing/electrical goods there, way over priced, Phew!!!!!!!!!!! Regards Tony www.kerberlu.com
  7. Hi, We are in Quintin nr St Brieuc (22) guess I will try CQM as our biggest merchant around here. Thanks for all your replies Tony (getting ready!!)
  8. Thanks to you all, it was, as I suspected, most building materials are cheaper in France than the UK, if you know where to look! Thanks Tony
  9. Funny! Just going to post on this subject also (sorry if hi-jacking but saves two posts[:$]), so would be great to hear any responses as we have just got this pool: http://www.ukpoolstore.co.uk/acatalog/splasher-above-ground-swimming-pools.html# the 12' diameter Tony www.kerberlu.com
  10. Hi, I was wondering if anyone had some rough prices for slates? I have seen them at the local Leroy Merlin (St Brieuc, 22) last year but can't remember the price, we are doing a 6*2.8 M area roof next week and wondered if cheaper to bring from the UK, the size I'm looking for are 200mm * 400mm.but could be bigger. Any ideas would be great! Thanks [8-)] Tony www.kerberlu.com
  11. Thanks for that, guessed it would have to be available. Tony
  12. Hi, We are laying a new base for an extension when we escape 'home' over Easter, in the UK we would buy 'Gravel to Dust' a West Country expression I believe! this would be a mixture ideal for mixing concrete, is it available in France? and, more importantly, what do I ask for? (anyone who has stood in SQM while an expectant group of French builders look on will know this is VERY important to get correct !). Hope this makes sense, after two years of blank stares I want to be prepared this time. Cheers Tony
