  4. Hi, I'm looking for a fairly basic booking system that I can use on the PC (not necessarily on line). One that'll show booings with extra 'drill down' info ie. deposits, extra beds needed etc. Does anyone have any recommended packages to purchase? I have been recommended 'bookingboard' but I dont seem to be able to get anyone to reply to my enquiries! Thanks! Yvonne
  5. Hi, Has anyone experience of using any company for transporting small animals (cats) between France and the UK? If so, who? Thanks, Yvonne
  6. Hi, thanks for the information. Sorry, I didnt make myself very clear. WHat I am wondering is what, if anything, I have to do French side? How does it work in the Uk then when I get off the ferry??
  7. Hi Can anyone tell me if i require any documents to take my car back to the UK. The car was bought in the UK and registered in France 3 years ago, i am returning and need to known who needs to know apart from my insurer. Thanks
  8. Ski bunny, All of your questions are best and probably only can be answered by a local notaire, they'll even know what the market is doing in your area. I can, however, answer no. 3, (I think!) the buyer does always pay notaire fee's. Apparently if they appoint a 2nd notaire the fee is shared between notaires and still paid by the buyer. yvonne
  9. Hi Chris What does the beetle look like? It must be huge!

  11. Hi Cat, No - it wasn't one of these. It was definately dark brown / grey and had defined 'feet' like suckers in the middle of the underbelly and 'thorn' like sticky out bits at each end.....??? I have a photo but dont now how to attach!
  12. We just found (well our cat did actually) a very large grub / caterpillar in our garden. It's about 12cm long and 3 cm diameter. Its grey / brown with black markings that look like big eyes! It looks just like the wichitty (?) grubs they eat on 'I'm a celebrity....'.! Does anyone know what it is??
  13. Fantastic! Thanks Clair, what a great website. Yvonne
  14. I revently saw the two fat ladies cook swiss chard as a veg using anchovies and garlic (amongst other things). I cant find the recipe on line does anyone happen to know it? They served it with beef wellington. Yvonne
  15. Thanks for everyones advise. I had thought about chambres d'hotes but we dont want to stray too far from the motorway, I'll have a look at the site. In the meantime we'll consider the other options, someone also suggested interhotel group? In the meantime I'll look forward to the day premier inn cross the channel! Thanks, Yvonne
