woolybanana
Can anyone give me the benefit of their experience, svp? Would £23.51 per day seem reasonable for the hire of a Ford Fiesta in France for a week, including collison waver, unlimited mileage.
LEO
That is incredibly cheap !I have serious doubts it includes total CDW.I think ,you will not be offered ,or at any price, be able to buy total and absolute insurance !If I am wrong ,bite their hand off! ericd
Good price. Am renting from Toulouse airport for a week early November for £150.00 (limited insurance cover but I don't care).
Gardengirl
I rather think cars we've hired have cost more than that. But we do take out insurance4carhire wherever in the world we've hired; not very costly for Europe for the year, and covers all risks.
andyh4
I cannot better that with an 800€ CDW excess (and I agree with the above posters I doubt you have 100% CDW) and a supposed healthy company discount.
idun
Very very cheap, which company is it?
Val_2
That sounds far too cheap for a hire business to be viable to me taking into account their admin, servicing and replacement parts costs. Sounds more like a day price plus you pay for every km over a set limit, extra and you top up the tank full at the end. What is the deposit too and the insurance cover? Check carefully as you could get a nasty shock.
ericd
Very very cheap, which company is it?
Not sure if this applies to me but.......I check every possible car hire companies every time i need to rent. Depending on the time of the year, one becomes cheaper than the other and vice versa. The cheapest I had found for 8 days rental (lowest possible category) was £142 through Opodo.A tip though......if you find out that your rental is cheaper doing 2 x 3 days compared to 6 days in a trot, contact the hire company and ask them if they could link both renatl periods as one, you will be surprised as they accept all the time, not expecting you to have to return to the airport to change car/contract. Isn't it possible?Angela

Mr Coeur de Lion
I've found that if you hire a car in France via a UK website it is much cheaper.I went to hertz.co.uk and hired a small car for about €30 a day. When I compared it to gertz.fr, the robbing barstewards quoted €90 for the day.So that quote does sound ok if from a UK rental site.
