3. Destroying your fallacious and prejudiced arguments one by one:- Debt? - The USA national debt - Trump not guilty again! On January 20, 2009, when Obama was sworn in, the debt was $10.626 trillion. On January 20, 2017, when he left, it was $19.947 trillion. It explains why most people say Obama added $9 trillion to the debt, more than any other president. 5. I've met a lot of people in business like him - If he takes to you you'll be ok, I would trust him over that slimy pair the Clintons.
6. "has Mueller got nothing on the slippery basteward" So after months of slagging Donald Trump off - frankly libellous comments IMHO - you are having problems getting the humble pie down? Sticking in your craw is it?
7. We've had the new road names and our house now has a number - since 2013. Search for our number, road, hamlet, commune, postcode and you still can't get within a kilometre or so.
8. Like some Americans - not all. Licences from the following states can be exchanged - But licence categories that can be exchanged vary. -Delaware -Maryland -Ohio -Pennsylvanie -Virginie -Caroline du Sud -Massachusetts -New Hampshire -Illinois -Iowa -Michigan -Wisconsin -Arkansas -Oklahoma -Texas -Colorado -Floride -Connecticut
9. "I merely want to have an amount of euros to live on should all the scaremongering about private pensions being unpayable to people living abroad does come to pass." I thought that I should just put you right about this that you are worried about. The original story about "pensions not being able to be paid to people living abroad " was brought about because their were and still are, doubts as to whether a pension company in the UK could legally pay pensions into EU. banks. So to get round this, get your pension company to pay your pension into your UK bank account and then use a foreign exchange dealer such as UKForex, Currency Fair or Transferwise to change your money into euros and then pay it into your french bank - you'll probably get a better rate that way.
10. "500 + m2 sounds a lot to expect from" a robotic mower, no doubt they will claim it can do more." They say a maximum of 400 sq meters - just programme it to mow 24/7 that means it will be mowing for a little more than 12 hours per 24 hour day, as it mows for an hour and then charges for about 50 minutes,
11. I am in the process of installing a robot mower at the moment, i've just got to the initial trial to find out if the installation of the boundary cable is going to work out. It's a Flymo 1200R from Amazon UK. It's on a patch of grass - I hesitate to call it a lawn - of about 400 Sq metres which I got fed up with mowing this year - we had a lot of rain early in the year. The principle of these mowers is that as it is mowing continuously it is only nipping off the top 1 - 2 mm of the grass blades on every pass as they grow. I would recommend burying the cable rather than pegging it down, which in our ground turned out to one of the labours of Hercules, but it's done now! Seems very well thought out, the instructions are excellent and comprehensive, there is an instructional CD included. Spare parts like the blades are available as non-original and cheaper than from Flymo. A good appraisal of the Flymo here:- https://myrobotmower.com/tips-and-tricks-for-using-the-flymo-1200r-robot-lawn-mower/ And a useful blog comparing various automowers from someone who has run one for a few years. http://robotic-lawn-mower.blogspot.com/2016/
12. I have been back five times in nine years, two of those were for funerals, once for a family illness, once to clear a house out prior to selling and once to pick up a new car. Last trip was 3 years ago. Thank you for your interest. Whaddya mean - why France? Why not!
13. Palm oil and rape seed oil (colza) are not used to produce petrol, they are used as the feedstock to produce biodiesel.
14. Why should he be impeached, replaced etc? He's doing rather well at the moment looking after the interests of the country he has been democratically elected as the President thereof!
15.
Well given I can read and understand French I will be just fine then. I only read French websites and watch French TV. That is why I can't debate UK politics or talk about UK TV. I am just a bit insecure about my level. Talking of which Mr Norman, I did a few online French tests to see if I could apply for Citizenship. My French was a lot higher than what is required. Whoooah. Alittlebitmorefrench. Lol. Probably not going to apply mind you.
Isn't that a little bit like saying "I know how to drive, I'm a perfect driver but I'm probably not going to apply to take my driving test" LOL!!
16. AFAIK after registering 2 motorcycles and 3 cars here, all UK sourced, I have never seen a C of C with a part 2. Possibly they are asking about the V5, the UK registration document, which does have 2 parts?
17.
Afraid that does not work for me.
Or use shift and then the + key?
18. Oh yes - the wall, it's protecting legal citizens from illegal immigration - they are queuing up from South America to get through Mexico into the US - walls are good! And Obamacare, which recently got so compulsorily expensive that it was bankrupting the people who are working to pay it's bills to provide health care to the feckless, lazy and workshy who don't pay anything. And the guns - like the the ones householders use to protect themselves against the drug crazed scum that want to break into their houses and steal rape and murder? You want to take the legal guns away of course! And as for "A Little Bit Stupid" What's it to you what my forum name is and where I live? And a majority of americans think DT is doing a good job - except the liberals of course! https://www.realclearpolitics.com/2018/04/28/time_to_admit_trump_is_doing_a_good_job_441038.html
19. What a couple of sad sacks you two really are. Nothing to do with you two who has what avatar. DT is doing ok for the people of the USA - the thick ones are you two who don't take the trouble to actually find out what is going on there - but you just want to follow the liberal sheep and slag him off because it's easier Eh?
20.
Good to hear that Mrs KG. I've got to change my driving licence soon, but hanging on in the hope that one day they will have sorted the problems!
I've been changing my driving licence since last September, and I still haven't got an actual licence. I've got a copy of my old valid UK licence and their "attestation" but no actual licence. There seems to be no end to the variety of dumb questions they choose to ask. Such as -"Are you a resident in France?" Answer- Please see carte de sejour copy which I sent you - please note it states "permanent resident" It makes you wonder if the staff they are employing can actually read! "How much did they charge, if you don’t mind me asking?" That's the strange bit - there is no charge apparently.
21. We investigated all this nonsense when we moved to France, and dallied with the idea of having gas central heating installed. It seems you can have your own gas tank, you have to buy it, have it installed to regulations, pay to have it regularly inspected and also pay to insure it. That's why we rely on wood burners.
22. "so why should our governments leave the door to our ( in this case your) country open for people to enter illegally??" Possibly because the president of your/our country is a cheerleader for the EU and their policy of encouraging immigration from non-EU countries?
23. "What next, I wonder?" The gendarmes could take over and do the job they are supposed to be doing?
24.
Rollocks, yet again
Rather than knee-jerk ripostes - what are your reasons for rejecting what I think is inevitable?
