Not really but I am interested in your houses. Did you all do the "before" and "after" photos and if so I'm sure lots of us would love to see the results. especially the horror pics like mine.

Geordie Girl... been looking at your before and after photos of your kitchen and has given me a huge boost... we're just about to start and seeing the beautiful space you have created from your starting photos is amazing!  I've attached our before pictures... fingers crossed in a few months I'll post the after photos!  [:$]

Looks like a huge space rose, it`ll be great. We had to make the best of a smaller space.Looking forward to seeing the finished result.

Exciting eh? [:D]

Hi Geordie Girl... it is big but awkward... we're converting the downstairs which is currenty not used (except to store stuff we can't find a home for anywhere else!) The windows are low so no units along the front...and there's the piller in the middle!  It's a low ceiling and it will never have the character of yours... I loved the way you finished off your windows!  Having said all of this it is a good space and it's nice and light and I've always dreamed of having a big kitchen with a big table n the middle so I am very excited!  We drove to Bordeaux the other day to look at kitchens and found the perfect one and I can picture it in my mind... It just seems like so much to do... OH is confident so I just go along with him... fingers crossed we'll be in there for the start of the summer!  [:D]

How long did it take you to do yours?  Can't wait to see what your bedroom turns out like... that looks like a fantastic space too!

p.s. I know exacty what you mean about the two ovens... and the grill problem... I've planned two as well for exactly the same reason! [:D]

Rose - it looks very like the basement of our last house which we made into a small appartment with open plan kitchen/ living room etc. Husband had an obssession with the pillar and wanted to take it out! But was persuaded otherwise. I had various ideas to turn it into a feature eg shelves all down it for books etc, a greek pillar draped in gauze, disguised as a tree  etc. In the end it was built into a corner for  a separate section. Good luck, it seems to be a real blank canvas at the moment.

Our original kitchen when we moved in was so hard to fit out, too many doors low windows stairs huge fireplace etc, so we are turning it into a dining room for our b&b guests.Should be finished next week. These photos taken when we first moved in and removed the filth

I cant make them small either so if the mods could help.........thankyou

Oh yes you can [:)] click on edit in photobucket - then resize - then the forum option (its the bottom one) - when it resized go to the right and copy and paste the option for forums and bulletin boards.

I have just resized this one:

Rose it took us 2 months from knocking the wall down, knocking a whole in wall to put a window in etc.

The first job in the old kitchen was to get the sandblasters in for the fire, 300yrs of old smoke.............you asked for the views from this room............

Was the shower one of those on offer at Bricorama a few weeks ago?

Any good?

EDIT: we had a set of pink bidet, WC, basin and shower cabinet which would have been a perfect match for your "before" shot...
