1. When is the offensive comment at the top of the page going to be removed?
2.
ALBF is right. He is always right.
If you say so , but don't worry the nurse will be round with the medication soon
3. I think the paint issue is generally considered to be quality rather than cost
4. I was in Dover ferry passport control a while ago when it was the French teams shift change. They were happily kissing (male / female) goodbye. I have spent a lot of time in UK police stations over the years ,but that was a first
5. Don't be so arrogant as to think that I was just referring to you
6. There seems to be a double bubble on here at the moment. Members who joined to wind other people up , but then people fall for it , and members who seem to have joined to carry on issues from other forums. Which is stalkerish frankly
7. Perhaps it would have been better to have checked that out first rather than posting a comment critical of the intended recipients
8.
That can't be right because I thought a lowered immune system makes you liable to all sorts of infections and could be responsible for leaving you predisposed to all manner of nasties, including cancer (so I understand!) On a side track but maybe related to the flu vaccine, I had a tuberculin test recently and I had no reaction to the jab, none whatsoever. So, is that good or bad?
It may mean you're not immune to TB , I had my vaccine as a school child ,but didn't scar so twice I've had to have skin tests to prove my immunity ( I need to have this for work) I have had positive reactions both these times so the fact you aren't reacting is worrying
9. Why the ' ' around nursing?
10.
By and large a thoroughly misererable little thread
Yes but it's got people talking. The OP enjoys getting a reaction I don't know what happened here
11. The Montalbano TV programe is based on a series of novels that whilst detective in nature give brilliant, evocative images of Scilly and especially the food
12. One of the reasons I like the Montalbano books are the vivid descriptions of Scillian food and meals

Lung removal

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but there is a post on another forum , from JR s wife . Sadly he died the day after his operation which itself was a success , but other complications followed
14.
Hmm! Chiedfluvvie, I feel a big hole is just around the corner. [blink] Shall we all just agree to differ? We could carry on argueing this until the cows come home, each to his own and all that.[;-)]
Yes but how many homes do the cows have ! DFTT
15. I think the use of terms such as crass and pretentious says more about the peson using the expresions.I really can't see the problem with having 2 homes, even if you visit only once a year . To me home is an emotional concept not a physical entity.
16. I don't get to France as much as I would like, but I consider it living in my other home. I still cook, clean , wash ,wash up , shop etc I just don't go to work or have the cats. Like others mine isn't really good for winter , and I am really missing it at the moment
17. Oh yes,you can't beat a good butter pie for comfort food (or anytime really) I live between Preston and Chorley in the heart of the butter pie belt.

Tooth abscess

Sweet 17 the best thing I did for my tooth abcess was to have the tooth removed.Years ago when I had dental surgery they told me to use hot salty mouth washes to keep everything clean
21. If you ever read the book Poppy Shakespeare by Claire Allan, it deals with a not disimilar theme
22. Savoury sauces to go with meats such as Lamb or Duck?
23. Before you look at possible remedies, you need a definate diagnosis, get everything else ruled out and then, and only then ,treat it as irritable bowel. Return to your doctor and tell him you want to be investigated .Often the diagnosis of IBS is made because every other potential cause has been eliminated .One bout of pain may not merit investigation but more than once certainly does
24. If I retire to France, as I eventually intend ,there's a very good chance that I will  be alone.I certainly wont be a WAIF, as well as the dickensian ,woe is me sound to it ,the name doesn't diferentiate between the women left alone in France and those alone by choice.
