My Nationwide credit card expired at the end of November, I emailed them about 10 days before and received a message that someone would contact me, it didn't happen. I telephoned them last week and they said they would send new cards, still nothing. Anyone had a similar experience?

I am curious. There are lots of older cars on the roads with new plates, in fact there seems to be more cars with new plates than old.

Is it possible to change to the new number plates on an existing vehicle? I am asking as I have seen lots of old cars with new number plates. Thank you.

Thank you for the replies. Maybe I am over reacting but the car is 15,000€ and I am frightened of parting with the money in case there is a problem and I have no come back.

We have seen a car advertised privately and are a little aprehensive as we have never bought a car from a private seller before. In England you can do an HPI check and have the AA look it over, is there an equivalent in France? I would be grateful for any advice. Many thanks.

Hi We have used this service for the past few years, I can't comment about cancelling after two weeks as we leave ours on for three months. Usually when we cancel we have done it on the internet or by ringing the English helpline, the last time we cancelled we were told we had to send a recorded delivery letter so it look like things have changed for the worse, as usual.

I have just bought an Epson Perfection V500 Photo scanner this week to put some very old photos onto my computer, it also does negatives and slides. I am very happy with the results so would not hesitate to recommend it.

Hi I see an Endo here in France and the last time I saw her she gave me a prescription for six months. I still have to go to the pharmacy every month though but if I am going on holiday I can collect my prescription sooner.

I have just been on the Eurotunnel website to try to book a crossing. I did the crossing stating that I lived in France and the total came to 228 euros which equates to £203, I did the exact same crossing stating that I live in England and the total came to £160, which is a difference of £43. Is there any reasonable explanation for this and has anyone who lives in France stated that they live in England?

Hi Sometimes a rectangular yellow box with an exclamation mark inside appears over my internet connection indicator, when I click on it it says Limited Connectivity and nothing works until I restart my computer. Can anyone tell me why this happens and what I can do to rectify it? Many thanks.

We went to a dealership here to test drive the car we wanted to buy, they didn't have the model we wanted so took us for the test drive in a lower model car which was 31,500 euros. We then looked on Autotrader in England and the model we wanted, two months younger was half price. We rang the garage, he gave us a price for our English, French registered car which we accepted. He offered to meet us in Calais where we did the deal, paid the balance and exchanged cars.
