anotherbanana
Watch out folks, some supermarkets are up to the old trick of making larger packets or multiple packs of food more expensive than smaller or single ones. And different sizes or quantities are placed in different parts of the store to fool you. https://www.francetvinfo.fr/sante/alimentation/aliments-vendus-en-maxi-format-foodwatch-denonce-des-arnaques-sur-le-prix-au-kilo-de-certains-produits_5791355.html
Gardian
Quite right WB. The one that comes to mind for us is Joker Orange Juice. Now I’d hasten to say that this isn’t a ‘big deal’ at all, but they do a pack of 4 x 1 litre cartons which is always a bit more expensive than buying them individually. We’re talking about 30c - 40c, so nothing really and frankly worth it for the convenience of a pack rather than individual cartons. Makes you wonder how many other things there are though. Lehaut
It has been like this for years. "Prix choc" - the "shock" is you pay more for the pack of 3 than 3 individual ones. Anything to separate the client from their money.
crabtree
Indeed. I always look and compare the price of the big pack against the price of that amount of individual packs, and more often than not the larger pack is more expensive.
anotherbanana
Yes, I am price checker too, looking largely for the price per litre or kg or whatever.
