When i was little, long time ago now i used to be terrified of feathers...........stop laughin pads. My cousins used to stand talkin to me and then say, go get me book ot whatever out the drawer. In the drawer would be a feather and i`d scream and run away and they`d chase me with the feather. Honest to god i`d be that scared i`d want to be sick. Or they`d make me jam & bread and lift the top slice and there`d  be a feather lying there on the bread. My mam used to put a feather on the bottom stair when i was toddling to stop me goin up in case i fell back down. Nowadays you can buy a stairgate; My mam used a feather;

My recurring dream is about me playing a gig and the dressing room is far from the stage.  It's usually an outdoor event  and I'm walking through these windy, narrow streets in a village trying to find the dressing room.  At last I find it and start to get ready but I can already hear the band starting without me and I'm in a complete panic running back to the stage.  It's horrible!

The other night I started having the dream again but things were different this time - I was already dressed and ready to peform.  I was so happy in the dream and we were somewhere in Spain.  The stage was all set up and I was feeling really relaxed and reassured 'cos' I knew that I wasn't going to be late this time.  I start to wander around the little street in front of the stage and I can see my posters on a wall so I walk up to have a look and shock, horror - it's a photo of me holding an accordeon and my name is splashed across the poster announcing me as the fabulous accordeonist[:-))]  I can't play the accordeon and the concert starts in half an hour!  I wake up again in total panic!!!

She is excellent RobS and yes she will be. Good to see some new artists/songs being played on here. Do you like Nick Cave? I heard his new single this morning and it is brilliant !!!!!!

I wonder if a new thread for little known bands/new artists/songs/albums should be started? Old stuff is ok but I can only take so much of the same bands being repeated ad nauseum. I am always looking for new bands and different styles of music but this thread does not seem to be about that. Perhaps a new one solely to introduce posters to new music is in order?? What do you others think?

THAT is music !! [:D]

Sometimes I hear nice songs, but then I think " hey, who will remember them in ten years?" you know, that sort of muzak that is too present on the radios IMO [:)]

Elvis  Always on my mind

there IS some excellent new music, but it is not good only because it s recent..

Talent is about attitude, not period.

Yes, go for it. I think a little bit of discussion would be good too, instead of just posting utube links.

Not too keen on the new Cave, but it's growing on me. It's up on their site too, on the home page.

I think it is a great idea Angel and would support it wholeheartedly apart from the fact that I do not post often on this site. Go for it.

I don't think that Angel said she had anything against older music, just the same stuff posted often. And if you look back, I can remember one of her first posts being about an artist that was new to me, Thea Gilmore, so just picking two selective posts of hers to highlight her type of posting is a tad unfair, don't you think?

Sorry[:(]

It was just something that stuck in my mind as, like you I don't post often on this thread but I am a singer and I have a sort of photographic memory  for  names of artists and songs.  I didn't mean to single anyone out and don't have the time or inclination to trawl through the hundereds of pages of this poplular thread to see who posted what and when[:)]

Did you like Nina Hagen?  She's very popular in France.

Dearest Twinkle, I loved Nina Hagen[:)] I found the lyrics very moving and provocative in a very sensual way. Twinks, I missed out on your dream, so could you tell me more about it? I may then be able to analyse it for you, or I will surely know someone that can analyse it if I'm not able meself.

Here is a bit of Jimmy Capaldi http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tz52e4T7LQ8

Twinkle, It's all very clear as far I'm concerned, you need to learn how to play the Accordian in the nude! The whole dressing room thing is screaming out that you need not bother with any clothes at all. Walking the streets tells us that you should get a new car before you embark on your new carreer, because you will be France's first mobile nude accordianist. Were any bears involved in this dream? It would make more sense to me if you could clarify that for me. I shall be going to see the gypsy in the morning, and I shall envagle her with your dream to see if she concurs with me own interpretation. I hope this will now put you at ease and I'm sure now that you will no longer have this dream again. [kiss]

Here is a great voice http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bzSzhHmhiOY
