One of my biggest worries is to come back to our french house to find it over ran with mice. I always make my partner go in first to check the house over. So far we have seen none, although a guest swore he saw one last April but we have seen no evidence of this !!!
A new star in the making, Adele and Chasing Pavements http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=HWT_VTreeBE
She is excellent RobS and yes she will be. Good to see some new artists/songs being played on here. Do you like Nick Cave? I heard his new single this morning and it is brilliant !!!!!! http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=7kV5XkBQsKU I wonder if a new thread for little known bands/new artists/songs/albums should be started? Old stuff is ok but I can only take so much of the same bands being repeated ad nauseum. I am always looking for new bands and different styles of music but this thread does not seem to be about that. Perhaps a new one solely to introduce posters to new music is in order?? What do you others think?

I can remember wearing clothes like Sandy Denny's in some of the early pictures on this clip. Its Fairport Convention and Who Knows Where The Time Goes? I don't cos it does not seem like almost 40 years ago to me http://youtube.com/watch?v=n2xODjbfYw8

Hi, my partner is a keen fisherman and as a present I would like to buy him a book (preferably in English, but I suppose he could translate a French book) that tells him where he can go fishing in Normandy. Does anyone know if there is anything like this available? He could use the holiday home as a base and travel, so distance is not a problem. Any suggestions would be welcomed.
Sorry to break the rythm here, but I thought this might interest one or two people. Superb 30 minute documentary of Eric Burdon trying to trace the origins of The House of The Rising Sun. http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/musicclub/documentaries_index.shtml scroll down to the Stratocaster, click on "Documentaries" then on "Burdon's Journey" Interestingly the tune can be traced back to the 17th century English song Matty Groves, and they even play a couple bars of the version from Liege & Lief, one of my all time favourite albums.[:D]
Me and you are going to get on raindog !! Here for you is Matty Groves, one of folk rocks best songs from one of the best albums ever http://youtube.com/watch?v=p2YYJEmDRhI
yes Lizzie I think she is great I love this one, I think it was about Warren Beatty wasn't it?? http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=7B7bVD_DkM4&feature=related
I think that is what is believed nou, but some say it could have been Mick Jagger, although what anyone sees in him I do not know !!!
