I hope we co exist in harmony these days and that they would make the same offer should LF 'go down'.

Quote from Total France somebody drew my attention to: "While the site was down I stumbled across

another French forum that I won't name. At least I know now why the

call this the pink and fluffy forum. I've never come across such bad

language, bile and venom that I found on this other forum and there

were contributors there who are regulars on here. Give me pink and

fluffy any day.

Deimos, that quote might suggest to some newcomers here that they are all slagging us off, but they simply aren't. Also, there are quite a few people who post happily on both forums.

I quite enjoyed the time when some of them chose to take refuge here. I'm sure they would extend a  welcome to us LF people under similar circumstances.

Frankly I doubt if they were talking about here - it's fairly peaceful on this forum at the moment, if they were maybe they have gone back into the older posts and come across a few 'skirmishes'  That happens on every forum, including TF.

Plenty of people post on both forums - and why not?

Just spotted this, sorry but the person in question and I have been in

contact and it was definitely NOT this site they were talking about, it

was...........well obviously it is not fair for me to name the site as

they didn't,

suffice again to say it was certainly not LF they were talking about

but I bet some know about the site they meant and the pure drivel that

goes on there, unlike the educated and wordly wise way we debate

on 'ere wot  [:D]

Well that's cleared that up and the entente cordiale can now continue

with our friends,  neighbours and fellow francophiles on T.F  [;)]

Hi Alexis,

Like the lad bit, kinda makes me feel one of the boys again !

Nope, no good this year.

They swapped the King George from Kempton to Sandown, as Kempton is

having a new all weather track and floodlight system put in (it will

now mean you can now lose yer money at night as well, without going to

the dogs !). Didn't go this year, we were in Wales at the time but had

three bets and all 3 went down the pan!

Came back Harry Lint but Mme Tina isn't bothered, (that's all she says

"Am I bovvered" when I say we only have a few euros until we open

again, where did she come up with that ? She is still preparing her

running spikes and shell suit (ooh lovely !) for the big, go, go, go

tomorrow morning. She won't be much more than a blur when the doors

open, 3 reccy missions this week, has seen her plot where the buys are

and I have my orders to cover her back when she goes in for the big

buys. I feel like Mr Bucket at times like this  [:D]

I hope that you enjoyed Christmas and all is going well at Chez Alexis ?

[:)] ha ha ha!

Tell Lady Tina that I will be in Nantes Thursday.

IKEA!

They phoned up for the Poorly One out of the blue this afternoon as they had a bed free.  Means one week less hanging about for him and I can do the sales.

Before I go brow mopping.

Actually, I'm hoping to find some Seville oranges on the market Saturday too.

Well don't forget your gumshield and head gear if you are going in that

place. Gawd knows what Tina would wear (or make me wear as protector of

the buyer !) in her vicious attempts to wrestle bargains of the

peasants (meant in the nicest way, you understand). I think we will

wait until next year for the Swedes to come up our way.

We really would like to get the new matresses from IKEA but we have

done a deal at Fly again this year for a couple of pretty good ones.

Now gotta get meself ready for the offensive in the morning..............

Do you make Marmalade then ? We make enough (I say "we" in the loosest

term) jam to last a few months but it all goes well before the end of

the season.

Really hope it all goes and 2006 sees all this behind you.
