Sunshine_2
I thought that I should inform you that I am a new member as of today. I look forward to joining your discussions, seeking your advice and giving assistance when I can. Actually I was a member for several years and in the main enjoyed the experience, however, having been inactive for quite a while I found that I had to rejoin. Val_2
Hello, good morning and welcome back. Were you sunshine in your previous life here? I have been away too for a while or just posting the odd thing now and again but thought I might come back and see who was still around.
Russethouse
Good morning Sunshine.......isn't that a line from a song....or a Eric Morecombe line? Anyway it's a nice cheery name for what is a very grey day here
Sunshine_2
Yes same name as before but a long time ago although I remember both of you. The name was because where I lived seemed to have constant sunshine.

Russethouse
There is a song : http://www.lyricsmode.com/lyrics/a/alex_day/good_morning_sunshine.html but I think it was 'Goodmorning starshine' that came to mind.Eric used to sometimes call Ernie 'Sunshine' [:D]

Sunshine_2
The sunshine was in the Rhone Valley in the very north of La Drome. We used to eat outside in January. Admittedly the postman used to laugh but used to join us at the table for aperos.
NormanH
But weren't you all blown away by Le Mistral?Down here I eat out in depths of winter, but only because I know a good sun trap, and they have a very effective windshield. What is true is that even in Winter the sun has real power to it... Sunshine_2
Where we were was too far north in the valley for the full blast of the mistral but I did get my knuckles rapped on this forum for describing it as a bit of a breeze

idun
Have you never had the mistral a blowing chez vous? That is lucky. I know that it happens near Lyon, maybe not recently though?[I]
