Teamedup
What a good man he was and a brave man too. Being a member of the Maquis and a priest, now how unusual was that in the war.

Logan
It was he who lobbied for a French national law to prevent evictions during the winter months. A good life making a difference.

TWINKLE
When I told my daughter about his life she wanted to know who would be replacing him? I said "Good question". She then said "I know - Me!"She's 7 years old. I'll keep you posted but they definately don't make 'em like him anymore.

Mike1958
TF1 dedicated almost 40 mins to Abbe Pierre tonight. Though I am not fluent enough to understand all that was said the legacy that he has left behind is one that the people of France will undoubtedly not forget. Someone putting everyone else first. Challenging the status quo and making a difference. We need more people in the world like this.
BJSLIV
It was a bit ironic that despite all the tributes from the politicians praising his achievements, when he started his campaigns it was because of the outrage at 5000 homeless. There are now 100,000 homeless in France.
