  1. Any news for your area of morbihan here.....? http://www.thdbretagne.bzh/la-fibre-dans-votre-departement/la-fibre-dans-le-morbihan/
  2. You will see here https://www.linternaute.fr/auto/guide-pratique-auto/1408736-montant-des-amendes-le-bareme/ that the normal fine for exceeding the limit by more than 50 kph is 1500 Euros,
  3. Seems to me the price is very similar in France and the UK. A quick comparison shows that our 5000 units a year in France costs around 800 Euros. (£700). the same amount in the UK would be around £750. Those figures include the standing charges and taxes.
  4. Ryanair do Bristol Limoges which is a shorter journey for you, and currently looks quite cheap.
  5. Its all on Easyjet's website. 6. The number to ring is 3400 (0.06 euros per minute) http://www.nievre.gouv.fr/mise-en-place-du-3400-a3075.htm l
  7. You will need to check that the price reduction was not in fact a new contract for 12/24 months. If it is you presumably have some documents showing sale of French property/ Purchase of UK property.
  8. Unless you have only been with SFR for a short period, and are so within the minimum contract period you are making things too complicated. You only need all the things listed if you are trying to get out of a contract , without having to pay the remaining months. If you have been with them for a long time, and haven't lumbered yourself with a new contract by recently upgrading just tell them you want to cancel the contract. You can find all the details here including model letters. https://www.resilier.fr/SFR.php#modele-lettre-resiliation-SFR-internet You can even send the registered letter from your PC, and wiil get a receipt. Don't forget you will have to return all their clobber, and from memory pay an exit fee.
  9. And if you are selling in a few years time Brexit will probably change the rules again. You will be selling under the non-Eu resident rules.
  10. "the office is shambolic and that is the side that would be involved in banking " Not really. Remember until it changed it's name Banque Orange was called Groupama Banque.
  11. Until you sell it to someone you are supposed to keep it insured. If you sell it in pieces you will always own it, as only an official breakers yard can give you the necessary certificate of destruction. Selling vehicles as parts by unregistered breakers can be punished by a fine.
  12. The carte-grise website will give you a good idea of the registration cost, it will certainly be much lower than the VAT to be paid.
  13. This seems to explain all you need to do, no phone calls required. https://www.sky.com/help/diagnostics/sky-viewing-card/sky-viewing-card
  14. Yes double taxation relief would apply. I was tending to assume that unless seriously large sums were involved, it would be relatively easy to avoid UK tax!
  15. I think for next year they are abolishing the rebate for the length of time the shares have been held, then the total rate of tax is a straight 30% of the total gain . It is no longer based on the marginal rate of income tax.
