"Being English" is my shorthand for being uptight, letting your blood pressure go up. No racism intended! Have a glass of wine and try to smile.

The tourists have arrived in the village, parking all over the place - absolute chaos. I found myself wishing we had traffic wardens to keep them in line. Then I remembered why we came here in the first place - no police, no petty rules (at least, that anyone takes any notice of), no yellow lines etc etc. I gave myself a slap round the head and felt better again. Vive la France!

PPP I almost did that last night, but then memories of using excel and linking things came to mind and I wondered if that little link was linked into my big link somehow, so I didn't? And I should have[8-)]

Ok - how to do a link, (this is my way and someone will tell me theres a shorter method, no doubt)

First copy the link into your browser,(right click, select copy) type the word you want to be a link and highlight it,

click on the ball and chain icon (second from right, just above the  box that you write in)

paste the link you have copied into the space where it says http, make sure you only have one http,

click OK and that should do it.

Tutorial for ppp:

1 Open the page you want to tell me about in another tab. Let's say BBC iPlayer home page which has the address http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/tv

2 Click the reply button to my post and when you want a link type the word you want me to click on, e.g. LINK

3 Highlight the word LINK then click on the ball and chain icon.

4 Go to the tab you wish to link, right click on the address (http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/tv) and select copy

5 back to your reply to me - the LINK will still be highlighted and the ball & chain box still open

6 paste your BBC address link in the URL box making sure you only have one http as RH says and click OK

7 LINK will now work.

You can, of course, copy any link from any page to paste in the URL ball & chain box.

Yes yes yes...that's enough please. Now can pachapapa get on to sorting out this persons right of way/neighbour dispute, I want to see how it's sorted.

I feel like I'm a neighbour myself peeping out of my window waiting for it to escalate into some pushing and shoving.
