Work for JCB

Hi i now live in region 23 with a bit of work to do around the house i'm looking to buy a JCB/Case type digger

now I did have a licence when back in scotland but been out of date for a few years now and i'm thinking of startting up on my own as a self/employed owner driver can anyone help with how to start

1 - is there a licence i need or a test ??

2 -what would i be classed as for tax

Hi Alex

Can't help with your licence/tax stuff but there are already Brits here who are well established in the fosse/digger game. 23 seems to be very well covered, I know of four Brit digger operaters/fosse installers, do some market research. I think you might find that you'll have to compete quite hard to get business.

    They are quite pointy on the ends (technical term) are they for doing fine detailed bits??

Edit: And i guess that means you wouldn't use the side bit for cutting just the tip and so the chain would be loose because.................

nope lost it.......

Edit 2: because if it was tighter it could ping off or something about making it safer.
