  1. Hi Yes i agree with Andrew lets get rid of sand. I tried to start a no sand policy on the TF forum but they said it was advertising. Piscine-plus.com will no longer supply sand only Zeolite or AFM Standard pools will have Zeolite FREE of charge, i hope other companies will join us. chrish
  2.   Hi Cant think of any other way the sand gets in the pool It must be  from the filter, did you put gravel in the bottom or just sand?? try the vac to waste to get the sand away from the pool then see if the new sand does the same thing. Chrish ps should have upgraded to Zeolite not worth using sand these days
  3. The pump is overheating and cutting out, when it cools down it resets and starts up again may be the thermo switch or the pump needs some more air chrish
  4. You can have a cover with the roman steps on the side, it will always be a bit costly as the best way is to have a large rectangle. If not they can make a piece that just covers the steps with a separate bar which spans the roman steps if you email me the size I can give you a quote chrish
  5. Hi Everblue are usually a good company so i would think that the back fill is ok This seems like it may be the water table causing the problem Sometimes the liner will go back without any creases but if not it will have to be refitted, You may be wise to put a land drain in, if it is possible. As far as i know Insurance will not cover this unless its counted as a major storm Contact Everblue and ask them to take a look. Good luck chrish
  6. Just info for slabs use Parexlanko  prolijoint good stuff Chrish
  7. I think i will keep out of this one even after 17 years in the pool industry i got lost at   HClCY– (t1/2 = 4.08 sec) i'll stick to my scuba+ chrish

  11. Just thought i would let you know that MG have agreed to change all NEW alarms that are still in stock in shops ref PRE005-M But they say that the alarms which have been sold are still ok and no agreement to replace them has been made. Keep you informed when hear anything chrish
  12.   Pools should not be left empty for any length of time no matter if they are liner or not. But no problem if its emptied and filled after cleaning best to do it when its a dry period to limit any problem of underground water. if he pumps it out with a big pump 20cu hr it will not take long and it will be scrubbed and  re filled the same day, just like changing a liner Chrish Ps reading my last post may have sounded like i meant leaving the pool empty so i hope thats better cheers
  13. Hi Is it a liner, block or steel pool, Monobloc???? Simplest! Do nothing and forget about it, its probably green. Empty scrub and refill when you are going to use it next chrish
  14. Hi Thicker liners will not help. Do not know why all of the liners will need changing why not just fit them again when the water table goes down. Best way to stop this is with a land drain and a decompression hole next to the pool. chrish
  15. well Julie Do not know what to say now! You seem to have done all the normal things, if the pump is primed then the water should flow!!! priming means that no air is in the system and that water can flow through, Would make a visit but you are a long way away Sorry ps call if i can give any more info  i will do my best to help Chrish
  16. Have you tried to vac it out with a wet and dry You may have to drain some water out to put the pipe down the side of the liner and tape around the gap between the pipe and liner. this works. just like sucking the air out when you fit a liner, it sucks the water out from behind. if not it will drain away in time, sometimes the creases go as the water underneath goes, if not it may need sucking into shape again. chrish
  17.   I will try but its better to talk Do not know if the sand filter and pump are under the pool water level which changes what you need to do Try this for a start Switch all off put sand filter on circulation switch on, call me any way chrish
  18. YepThink that its not primed as teapot says sometimes a bit tricky if you want to call i will talk you through it chrish 0565377964
  19. Hi Hard to say do you have water under the liner?? what chemicals do you use in the pool Has the pool been emptied can you email photos/ Regards chrish ps where in 47
  20. You should report the pool installer; they have a responsibility to make sure the pool has security after they have installed it. By the way many pool companies use cartridges so be careful what you say or be more specific. At the minimum the pool company should get a signed attestation from the pool owner that they will sort their own security out. I cant believe that after all what has gone on a pool installer would be that stupid and say that!!!!!!!!! As far as i have been told its the local Gendarmerie who polices the security problems. chrish
  21. Hi poolguy is away, but i am sure that he and i have not answered because these pools are not what we deal with so rather than just fill the post with sorry i don’t know we have let the people who deal with this kind of pool try to help Chrish ps we use salt tablets not granuals
  22. Hi just some more info. Aqualarm who make one of the alarms which failed the test have sent out a fax to say that the DET10 alarms have passed an LNE test and will not be called back, even though they failed the last one.   I called and asked if i can sell the alarms which i have in the shop, they said no wait for more info. Catch 22
  23. yes i agree we would fit a ladder which can fold back or can be removed when the cover goes on. be careful of a second hand cover, make sure you get a cirtificate of conformity if you want an idea of costs let me know chrish
  24. They are sending out info to pool companies to try to get distribution in France. This is what is in it but they do not give amounts etc so need some more info. PoolSan is a saturated complex ionic aqueous solution containing chiefly Copper, Zinc, Gold, Silver, Aluminium, Manganese, Iron and Nitrogen. When we are all trying to cut out as much additives as poss seems to me to have a lot in it. Will keep you informed of any progress. Did not think the price was that inviting. Chrish
