As far as I know you still need a negative test before returning to the UK, then there are the others when back in the UK

It seems the footprint might have been tweaked. There has been comments on this or the other forum.

We stayed in a Gite in Berlou by the wine co-operative many years ago, nice area but it was a fair way to Beziers, at the time there was nothing there that we could find except the co-operative. Mind that was in the 1980's lovely peaceful area though.

Some folk have different reactions, we had the AZ one, felt a bit poorly for a couple of days bit like flu symptoms other half had the same. Daughter had a sore arm but no other symptoms. we all had the jab in the UK 

The IT department has gone back to school, and the adults have taken over again, expect some more gems in the next few days. Might have that cookie pop up screen reappearing.

They rejected mine saying eyes weren't open, replied eyes were open and that's the way I was made.  Photo was then accepted and now have my new passport.I applied for it late spring when the government said there was a great backlog in passport applications and don't apply, as mine expired in December and we were going to France in September I was not going to have any hassle with a passport due to expire in a couple of months. The renewal took two weeks and that included them rejecting an earlier photo.

Mint. Yes he gave me the certificate plus the invoice for the work, its been put with all the spanic paperwork. One thing I have found out, when I purchased the tank I was billed for a 3000 litre one the guy who did this work informed me I had actually got a 4000 litre one, suppose he found this out by the amount of water that was extracted and replaced.

Had the chap call yesterday to empty our fosse septic it was the first time it was emptied since we installed it in 1991 (it is our holiday home) was a bit concerned about how much they would charge us but was pleasantly surprised that it only cost 301 euros, not bad for nearly 30 years. Won't be here when its due again!!

When we used to leave to return to the UK we gave our neighbours our water and electric reading to give when they came to read the meter. On one of our visits a couple of years later our neighbour showed us the reading we gave to them, they were all the same for the water. It seems that a bit of grit or something had got into the meter and jammed it up. We were expecting problems when we reported it to the water company but all they did was replace the meter and said to forget the usage.

Why not ask Penny Smith to tell the cat to give the young girl your contact number then she can get in touch with you. Sorted.

Wasn't the key code stamped on the ign barrel years ago. Maybe if you know someone who is handy with a screwdriver they can take the surround off the ignition switch, read the code if its there then pop into the dealer to get one replacement key, when you have that get a local key place to cut a replacement if they are cheaper. Just an idea.

Went shopping at that supermarket that says (every bit helps) ambled over to the bread area to get our supply, happened to ask one of the bakers do you by any chance have a spare bit of fresh yeast. He popped off for a few minutes and came back with some to make a loaf. After we made the bread there was a bit left over, am looking at a way we can make this live again. There are plenty of ideas on t'internet on how to make your yeast from scratch but none on how to keep the little bit you managed to keep. It seems the bakers get it in big slabs that they use as needed, suppose I am looking at a way to do the same but all the Utube ones tend to look different. Any one got any clues. Oh by the way I wasn't charged for the yeast.

He will blame the UK saying Euro subs will have to go up when we leave.

Richard, that is exactly the same as Dijon airport, can remember doing that when my wife arrived there. Sorry but wouldn't trust Ryanair as far as I could throw it.

BJSLIV. One problem is the name Ryanair and the other is Limoges. It is on the other side of France, just as painful as Paris only less traffic. TANCREDE Yes aware of the train we actually suggest it to friends who visit it has been used a few times that way. I just want things to be very easy for her. That's why I would be prepared to sacrifice a trip to Paris. We will talk about it. Thanks all.

Thanks for the info everyone, CDG is not my choice of airport. Bit of background info, I pass under the airport travelling from the UK to Burgundy so know how much traffic is around there, usually manic. My wife died a couple of years ago (Frecossais) on here. I have reunited with an old friend whose husband also has died, she has shown an interest in a short stay with me when I'm in France.  She lives near Bath and was hoping to travel via Bristol Airport. There is a daily flight direct to Paris, there is also a flight to Lyon but this one goes via Brussels. She is just  slowly getting her confidence back after being on her own, doesn't speak French and  doesn't feel able to start juggling across France. Things would be easier if she lived nearer London, more options. Yes Idun Lyon would be a bit better although not ideal, it is a good 2hr hike from Sanvignes . The most ideal airports for me would be Dole and at a stretch Dijon but alas the no airline suitable flies there. EDIT. Thats interesting first time I have had all that rubbish in the post. This one I did in Word and copied and pasted it as my reply. Maybe this is another gem Archant devised.

Bit of help please folks. Am looking at booking tickets for a friend with Easyjet to fly into Charles De Gaulle in October and quite frankly looking on Google maps the airport seems a complete nightmare to drive into, any advise what way to point the car and anyone got a clue what terminal I should head for? will more then likely get lost at least once. Will be on my own so no navigator on board. Cheers Steve

My visits are usually a couple of months or so each time and I book the return a week or so before I want to return to the UK. If I revisit these websites before a booking I make sure any cookies etc. have been deleted from my computer as I have heard they know you have visited before. Anyway good luck on your future crossings.
