1.
Laurier, You may be better to increase the text size of the text in your posts to make them easier to read (between the word 'Message' and the posting box there is a row of options, 1st option from the left is the text size, this is three)
Funny that Rh. I always use 3 and mine comes out like this.[Www]
2. Benjamin

Why ?
munching a crumpet.[:D]
Got a bit mixed up there jj. Shouldn't that read "cruching a muppet"    [Www]
3.
Finally, what are these speed limits that you seem to think are being decided on the throw of a dice?  Are they the ones that are properly put in place to protect pedestrians or manage traffic congestion on urban autoroutes or signal other potential hazards like dangerous junctions or bends - or are they different ones........?  [;-)]
I always have a quiet smile when amateurs start deciding what is a valid speed limit and what is not. Do they think a couple of blokes sit in an office somewhere and randomly decide where limits and at what level they should be set? No brainer to me. Stick to the set limit. It makes for less stressful journeys and for any experienced driver to not know within 5% what their speed is without refering to the speedo calls into question their suitability to be behind the wheel.
4. Bon courage NormanH from Mrs Benjamin and myself.  [kiss]
5. As the French try to sell any old tat how about Le Bon Coin?
6. It wont, but you will have a clearer picture of what the cost is of what you are trying to buy rather than have a load of charges added on right at the end. Mr O'Leary will have to be a bit more open in the future or else a lot more inventive. I know where my money will be.
7. In the Vendée (and probably other places) it's the basis of a fortified wine type of drink or a liqueur type. A rough recipe is about six litres of red wine from the local cave (that's if you haven't got your own) to which you add a litre of eau de vie. Depending on your taste you can add virtually any type of  fruit or even things like birch twigs: whatever you like. If you add sugar you will obviuosly get a sweeter liqueur type drink. Make it in October, stirring every now and again, and filter and bottle for Christmas. I don't like the sweet version but the fortified wine type should make you shake your head slightly from side to side once  [6] and then you're into it. It's a bit like a Spanish carajillo where the barman has been a bit heavy with the brandy (or rum). You'll probably never get the same taste two years running.  [:D]
8.
Frankly if the majority of Scotland wishes to split then lets get on with it. I am tired of reading about SNPs wingeing :(
The only way this will happen is if everyone in the Union gets to vote. Bring it on.   [:P]
9. This just gets bigger. There are now 50,000 women in the UK affected.
10.
Well, I'm omitting the rude ones,
So enjoying these Sid. Go on, I'm sure you can find a way of disguising the ruder ones.  [6]
11.
and keep banging on and never be put off your quest until someone helps you. Sometimes easier than others, but things always get done.
Your's must be a very stressful life Idun.   [:D] Your response to the Trespass thread was revealing compared to the attitude of those living in the West. I didn't need to add my comments to Wooly's. Do things the British way, with subtlety.
12. You might like to try Dexeryl, which our (French) doc recommended to me a few years back for dry skin. The active components are glycerene, vaseline and liqiud parafin. The last tubes I bought were in August and cost €4,36 for 250 g. Mrs Benjamin stopped using Nivea in favour of dexeryl. It absorbs easily and is non-greasy. Can't find anything like it in the UK despite talking to numerous chemists.
13. Humph!   [:@] No English language button I see.  [:P]
14. I see you've had the tattoo touched up Id.[:'(]
15. From a Q post a few back now, I have this mental image of him and his dog walking into the teeth of a gale at 10.30 at night with the dog muttering "I suppose there's nothing on the bl**dy telly".    [:D]
16.
Hate.  But better than nothing.  The worst thing are those people who cheerfully tell me they've given up sending cards at all and thus I have to speculate each year whether they're dead yet or not!  I have plenty of good friends whom I don't talk to regularly but I do like to know that they're well and cards are great.  It's once a year, so what's a couple of hundred quid or so once a year for cards and stamps? Everybody gets Injured Jockeys Fund or Motorsport Safety Fund cards from me.
We haven't sent Christmas cards for about 20 years but we do pick the 'phone up to everyone around this time and spend our money on having a really good chinwag with those that we don't see on a regular basis.
17.
I wear a beret, and I  brought a piano accordion from the UK to France when I emigrated [:P] I also have a Breton jumper.....
When the question of integration arises again in the future (as it's bound to), then your posting, Norman, will be the litmus test benchmark for everyone.   [:D]
18. From a news report which I've just heard on a commercial station, it appears Dave has made one error. Apparently he's left Brussels when he should have "made himself available" and remained until the final communique is issued by the Eurozone Nations.
19. Born Coven, Staffordshire. Nearest Football League club the Wolves. First game, in the 50's when I was seven years old. If your Dad could lift you over the turnstile, you got in for free. Happy days.  [:D] Virtually the pioneers of European footie. I've stood in all corners of the World with a crackly short wave trying to get the results on a Saturday afternoon. It was bad when we nearly left the League but as a true supporter and football fan you soldier on. You don't seem to want to address the problem about the money sloshing about in certain places ( I agree about Sky by the way, but didn't want to introduce another topic into the discussion). Wages in some clubs are still obscene though.  [6] Try this for a bit of financial information. http://www.guardian.co.uk/news/datablog/2011/may/19/football-club-accounts-debt There's lots of other reports on the web. I do hope you don't only sing when you're winning.  [:P]
20. .........jealous posters.......and................snide remarks.......... Not a bit of it after you've taken all this stick from the Man U boys over the years for being second best. The figures in my posting are from recent articles I've read and can be verified to within a few pounds. The bigger picture here is the way a two tier system, just in a single division, is growing. Apart from six or seven clubs, and there could be slip ups amongst them, every other club in the division starts the season as a relegation candidate. There's another thread just started about the finance industry (which I missed) but it seems to me that the wage bills' of the clubs who have been bankrolled are becoming obscene. By the way, how long have you had your tag line identifying you as a City supporter?
21. Is this the same Man City who spent 110% of their gate receipts in the 2010/11 season on players' wages alone? Or the team who spent nearly £11 million on agents' fees in the year to last April. Or, maybe, the team whose billionaire owner will increase the sponsorship paid from the airline he controls so that his team flout the stiff new rules covering football clubs' spending? Nah!, Couldn't be or could it?   [6]
22. Tetley say for the best cup of tea the bag should be well agitated, so when you wake up slap her on the *rse a couple of times and say "get out of bed you fat git and make my cuppa".
23. This is starting to sound like Ilfracombe all over again.
24. allanb What a sensible suggestion.
