  1. Have to say I have had mine a few years, bought second hand off EBay. I am not known for my "gentleness" with cooking.electrical items, have inverted the lid etc,and to date have not had any problems.
  2. Thanks. As I thought. I submitted on paper-it seems they have either missed the form or not spotted the entries.
  3. Having declared the income as set out previously,I have today received the Avis D'Impot which does not have the figures included .In the past when I included under micro Bic the figures appeared in the calculation. Has anyone else experienced the same situation?

  8. Also have a look at www.curryfrenzy.com Good quality, cheap postage and fast service. Also the site has a large amount of recipes.
  9. Strangely enough I had an email yesterday form Pryce Warner and they say: URGENT NEWS FOR EXPATS IN FRANCE British Expats in France may face a fine of up to £8000 on undeclared inheritance trusts A new law is set to come into force tomorrow (Friday 15th June 2012) that will require all Expats to inform the Paris tax office of any inheritance trusts that they are named in or they have set up for relatives in the UK. This includes even basic life insurance policies put into trusts to avoid being included for IHT. Anyone not compliant by Friday could have to pay the fine. However, the new regulations do not affect those with holiday homes in France, unless the property forms part of a wider inheritance trust. The penalty extends to even the smallest trusts (£1000 or less) but for those with a trust worth over £200 000, they will face a fine of £8000 or a 5% charge. This means Expats with trusts worth over £500 000 could be forced to pay up to £25 000 if they do not inform the taxman by Friday. Those who do beat the deadline will still have to pay a tax bill, of between 0.25 % and 0.5 %, if their total wealth exceeds €1.3million (£1.05million). French property, shares and a variety of other assets are included in the wealth estimate, including self-invested personal pensions (SIPPs). The charges only apply after five years of full residency. I do not know anything about the company other than that they have taken to sending me regular emails.
  10. And Cameron with names like Donald Cameron, and a father born in Blairmore House in Aberdeenshire is obviously of some Scottish descent.
  11. I have been using a Jet Book lite for some time. \ I have now been offered to return it and buy a new version at a discount. Expensive but what content! http://www.ectaco.com/main.jsp?do=products-view_item&item=22671 Link edited by a mod.
  12. Many thanks-that's a great help.
  13. I see that numbers have changed again this year.Last year I entered under 5NO and 5OO. This year could it be 5NG, which seems to be in a different section?
  14. Although a bit late for care workers etc who have been unable to find petrol over the past few days,
  15. I think you are right-but the tactic has badly misfired .In any language, "Don't panic" always means that panic follows-ask Corporal Jones!. There are reports of people filling jam jars with petrol. Not on the direction of a cabinet minister, but nevertheless he should think before he speaks.
  16. I still can't believe a senior cabinet minister would suggest storing in jerry cans. Already a woman has received 40 degree burns when decanting petrol in her kitchen when flames from the gas cooker set the fumes alight and set fire to her clothing.
  17. Quite. Sucking cream from the hands of Rula Lenska pays dividends!. Once known as the MP for Baghdad he now becomes the MP for Kabul East!
  18. I have been using a Franklin English-French-English translator for about 8 years. The newer version is the BFQ-570 i believe. Would not be without it. They can be bought on ebay and Amazon-Look at the reviews on the Amazon page. I am trying out an Ectaco translator at the moment, which is also a speaking translator-but they are expensive, unless you wait for special offer times.
