1. I just checked my supplier and Superior is now down to 71c per litre. Here's a link to the comparison site for anyone interested; http://www.fioulmarket.fr/
2. The problem is that the French would just take it as gospel as they don't seem to argue the point against officialdom. Well done you and congratulations.

Generosity ?

I recently helped my daughter by giving her some money, quite a bit actually. The reason for my charitable act was that she was in a bit of a temporary financial fix. She works very hard and had more than one job in an effort to make it into Theatre and TV. Fortunately, she has now landed her dream role and is in demand from various production companies. Earning more money too! So good on her. She wanted to pay me back but I refused her offer. I couldn't be more proud of her and helping out seemed the right thing to do. As for another person, brother in law, I wouldn't give him a cent. The reason for that is that he is always on the scrounge and never pays anyone back. I only found out the extent of how much he had borrowed from my wife after she had sadly passed away. £20,000 and it all went on beer and gambling! So, some I will help and others I won't. Simple.
4. I wouldn't chance using a normal charger for more than a day or two. You need a smart charger as per the previous post. The one I use for mine is a Ctek. They are used by Bentley, Aston Martin, etc. Here's a link for you; http://www.ctekchargers.co.uk/ You can find them on Ebay and Amazon.
5. I have just checked our 2 accounts here in the Mayenne. On my daughters, for which I have power of Attorney, there was no questionnaire. However, on my own account there was. Needless to say, I ticked the bog off box.
6. I solved this problem a while back by un-installing Internet Explorer then re-installing it. I then did the same with Firefox. That got rid of the intruding Orange junk.
7. It might be better if MP's had to serve in the Military first, or at least had work experience in a proper occupation. I'm glad our troops are out of there.
8. I read the same story in the Connexion. To be honest, it's the law, so she must obey it. If you or I were to go to her country you would have no choice but to conform with their rules. I have served in the middle east so know how seriously they take things. Personally, I agree that they should be banned, if only for security purposes.
9. I pity you. I myself have no faith in HMRC after spending 3 years fighting a demand from them for 13 grand. At the end of the 3 years I received a cheque for the princely sum of 7 grand and a letter to say that they had indeed made a mistake. At least they got my address right. Good luck.
10. Haha. Had to laugh at that one PaulT. I am now wondering if the tunnels are open again. Mind you, the French do seem to crack on when resurfacing their roads. Les.
11. I have just read on the Connexion website that the Pont Mathilde re-opened at 5pm today. About time too!
12. They are fleeing their own country because they no longer like to live there. They choose the UK because of the benefits system. Once in the UK they expect it to become like the country that they have just left. Pity that consecutive governments have allowed this to go on for so long. The trouble is that it's now too late, the damage is done. Mind you, as a UK citizen, I can be fairly sure that the next time I enter the UK I will be grilled by the border force whilst watching various white vans, etc, trundle through unchecked.
13.
I saw the advantage when we had to get to hospital in a hurry the other day - friends who took us had the doofer. Are they transferable? If so, why not borrow/share them if you don't use motorways a lot?
Hi. Yes, you can transfer them between different cars. I do that myself as I own 2 cars and there is no problem as the doofers are not registered to a particular vehicle. Hope that helps. Les.
14. Sorry Nick. Her ladyships mind is set in stone.
15. I read last week that there was a shortfall in expected taxes to the tune of 14 Billion Euros. That's a lot of catching up to do. Whip round anyone?
16. I'm shocked. My house is over that value and I'm in my 60's and here I am being seemingly written off because of my age. My next property will cost me nearly 7 million and I can say for sure that my age doesn't have any bearing on my plans what so ever. Hey ho, horses for courses. If someone wants to spend that kind of money I have to assume that they have a larger pot in the first place. Good luck to the OP and I hope that you enjoy France if you do relocate.
17. Hi Paul. If I'm not mistaken, the minimum tread depth is more in France than the UK. You could therefore be on a sticky wicket if an over enthusiastic Gendarme pulled you. I think it's only a Millimetre more though. There are companies, such as Allopneu, that will deliver new tyres at very competitive prices to a garage of your choice in France where they can be fitted, etc. If you are travelling this weekend by the way, the Flicks will be everywhere because of the Le Mans 24hr traffic. Les.
18. Hi Dave.   It could be a Rat Snake, Zamenis situla, they are constrictors. I had one here a couple of years ago which reared up with it's mouth open looking at me. It looked quite fearsome but for someone like me that has served in the Jungle, it wasn't a big deal. I think it is the snake that adorns the Doctors official emblem if memory serves. Regards. Les.
19. My good lady saw the advert for the Endoscope yesterday and asked if I wanted one. She rightly pointed out that it might be useful for doing jobs on the cars. They do sell some odd stuff at Lidl I must say.
20. It is similar to the power of attorney that I have for my disabled child. I would write to the court that issued the Curatelle and ask for it to be annulled. It shouldn't be too much of a problem. Failing that, it will expire naturally after the 5 years is up.
21. With reference to surge protectors, the one I have has a warning that they do not last forever. There is an indication lamp to let you know when it has had it. I presume that they can only take so many hits and then they give up the ghost. Not cheap, but better than the alternative of having equipment wrecked.
22. In our household we use the phone with free calls to the UK, Skype and Facebook for both family and friends. Oh! and the odd Text. Even e-mail seems to have gone out of fashion with the advent of Skype and Facebook. My good lady does however receive the odd letter from a friend and when she does, she is absolutely thrilled. Needless to say, she reciprocates. It's just the way of the modern world of comm's I suppose.
23. According to the report, they are all trying to get to Britain, surprise surprise. Why not aquire 3 or 4 aircraft and fly them back to their countries of origin. Or is that too simple!

Lucozade

I too have never seen it here. My first port of call would be the Lucozade website. It's just possible that they might have a list of outlets in France so I would take it from there. Failing that, a quick message to them might help your search. Good luck and best wishes to your friend. Les.
25. Hi again.   I just found this; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wfhq5PY6VhA I hope the link works, it will let you see what Muzzy is all about.   Regards. Les.
