krusty Posted December 16, 2008 Share Posted December 16, 2008 Good morning all , I watched a documentary on the Carpenters last night , they played one early clip and Karen`s voice sounded rubbish and then it seemed to change into the wonderful voice we all remember.They mentioned the story that John Lennon met her coming out of a restaurant and he said to her "I just want to tell you, love, that I think you've got a fabulous voice" .I dont know how true it is but it sounds like something he would say.Their early hit Ticket to Ride........looks like it was filmed near me [Www]Funny how things "link" , we will soon be celebrating the birth of a carpenter.
