Food product recall, worth noting perhaps

There has been a very wide food product recall across a ton of stuff because of some nasty in the product. Surprisingly many are bio. A lot have sesame in them apparently.

It annoys me intensely that supermarkets are happy to bombard you with publicity, special offers, loyalty cards etc, many of which contain your email address. With SuperU we are happy to have the bill sent direct to our phone (much easier to read than a paper bill and arrives immediately on the phone). Recall notices are resigned to a small notice board in the Supermarkets. They could so easily cross check what you have bought and send a personalised email immediately to highlight these potentially dangerous problems.

Either they don't want the bad publicity or its a personal information thing that people could opt into.

It also shows food snobs that products come from the same places but some are happy to pay more in some misbelief that are getting something better.

You grow everything, have livestock, fish, thresh, grind, bake …….? Where is the time for online betting, following this forum, oogling half naked bodies in the sun, gossiping with neighbours?

We can’t avoid some of these food problems, however careful we are, but can only try, surely? ??
