Dave
Yes Dick, "messing with PS" - I used to struggle with layers and other settings in PhotoShop then I discovered 'Actions'. Free to download and use from lots of places on the net, they are sets of PhotoShop layers that are 'recorded' and made into an 'Action' set, once copied into the 'Actions' folder found in PhotoShop it is possible to open a suitable image, and then run the 'Action' some allow you to stop at various stages and change settings but others just run and you can tweak the final image to your liking. Very clever of the person that creates the 'Action' but all I do is click a few buttons. This is a good sourcehttp://www.atncentral.com/and this is where I got the Action called 'InstaSketch' that I used on Cooperlola's pictureshttp://homepages.slingshot.co.nz/~mikefinn/action.htmlThey vary as to what version of PS they will work with though, so check that out. Download the Zip file, unzip it and then copy/move the atn file into Programs Files/Adobe/Photoshop/Presets/Photoshop Actions then when you next open PS you view the actions window by going to the top menu 'windows' and put a tick beside 'Action', at the top of the 'Actions' window to the right is a small arrow, left click on this and from the dropdown menu select Load Action, you will then browse to the 'actions' folder in Photoshop and select the desired action. Once loaded it will appear on the list, you then expand that 'Action' and highlight the start point and click on the 'run' arrow at the bottom and off it goes. Some actions will give you an oppurtunity to stop at certain stages to adjust the settings colour/saturation etc but most just run until the end.Sorry, I got a bit carried away with my explanation of 'messing'[geek]
