cooperlola
Richard, your link leads to a login page but I can't find the home page so I'm a bit in the dark as to what that site actually is, even though I've read their rules (torrents being some sort of waterfall to me...[Www])
Jay
Don't waste your time - load of rubbish! Have a look at some of the comments http://britishexpats.com/forum/showthread.php?t=508476
Mr Coeur de Lion
Coops, it's basically a torrent site where you can download pretty much any British tv show that's been out. You'll need a torrent program such as utorrent to download the files, but it's a good alternative to iplayer.Jay, they are nazi's that run the site, but as long as your ratio is ok, there's not much of a problem really. For me, I upload far more than I download.
pachapapa
I dont use it but he problem seems fairly general.http://www.facebook.com/expatshield#!/expatshield?v=wall
Loirette
I tried again today and it was still not working, so I removed the programme (version 1.56) and then downloaded it again. This time it showed as version 1.57. I can now make a connection, but when I try to view a programme on IPlayer the old message saying "not availble in my area etc" comes up. Not sure what else to do! [8-)]
Jay
Mine is working again but unfortunately it is showing an IP address in the US so we are unable to access iPlayer
Jay
But look on the bright side you can watch US TV SciFi http://www.syfy.com/rewind/

Jay
Technical problems:Yesterday... Currently our UK service is experiencing some down time due to a hardware issue, which is now being fixed. Full service is expected to resume in the next 24 hours. We value and care about all of our users and are very sorry for any inconvenience this issue has brought to you. After the fix is in place, ...Today (16 hours ago)....The needed hardware piece is now at location and awaiting installation. Hopefully everything will be back online soon (possible a bit longer than the promised 24 hours). Again, very sorry for any service interruption. Stay tuned - we'll update once the installation/testing is done and everything... is up and running.
Graham & Brenda
Latest from Expat Shield Facebook pageStill working on getting the new hardware up (ran into few issues), but please be assured, work is in progress. We wish we could speed up the process, but at this time we have to wait until everything is fixed before going back online with ExpatShield. We are also working on procedure steps to make sure such long outages never happen again. Thank you.about an hour ago

Graham & Brenda
Yes, working again, although I had to uninstall & reinstall the software to make it work.
JonDuncan
If it doesn't work at the first time of asking, disconnect and reconnect - that worked for me. It might save a few minutes' aggravation of the full uninstall/reinstall routine ;)
pachapapa
The Expat seems to log in with UK IP but I now get a pop up asking if I have a TV licence; after clicking various buttons it eventually interferes with the API settings and the PC disconnects from the AliceBox. Requiring a restore and a reboot of the router!
pachapapa
On netbook with XP plays ITV1 without any to do.
