bixy
Got to Amazon France - Livres en Anglais. There are loads of second hand books from 1c upwards. You have to pay €2.99 postage for each book you buy, which is still not bad. I bought an £8 book for 1c and an £18 book for 13c [in both cases plus the postage].Patrick
Dog
Buying secondhand CDs is good too. They are often new and have arrived from all over the world.I have never had one that didn't work.
Gastines
Each trip back to Uk, I go to one paricular charity shop that has NEW paperbacks at 3 for £1. I don't know where they get them from .I usually buy £20 at a time and usually find a good choice each visit. After reading I pass them on and as we now have a Franco=Brittanique Society locally, they also get a pile. I note most " Charity" shops in Uk are now more like any other shop and most secondhand books are £2-£3 a time, Regards.
Mr Coeur de Lion
On amazon.co.uk you can do the same thing and postage is only about £2.50, so roughly the same, but with much more choice than the French site.
bixy
The shipping cost for these used books from Amazon UK is £3.94, so €2.99 is a better deal. Patrick
Mr Coeur de Lion
Must have gone up. I was paying around 2.50 before Xmas.Still, the choice would be greater for not a lot more.
cooperlola
Once read, you can of course sell the books back again via Amazon Marketplace too.
