Anton Redman Posted September 9, 2009 Share Posted September 9, 2009 The inspection when selling is, in my opinion, a superficial look at the state of electrical insulation and equipment and is not carried out by the CONSUEL, but by the same people who check for lead paint etc. it does not carry a threat of not having your power reconnected. EDF now insist on an inspection by the CONSUEL when a property is reconnected to power after a significant time. Department71 Posted September 10, 2009 Share Posted September 10, 2009 A fuse box has lots of white porcelain oblong thingies in it that are black around the edges, where the fuse wire ( thin bit of wire, nail, or silver foil from fag packet) has blown.
