1. Gremlins! The right side (=) of the calculation should be "Total des réductions" . the word "réductions " appearing under Impot avant réductions...." has somehow drifted!
2. HI - just catching up with this topic, been away for Autumn break! I think it's worth mentioning that it's sometimes advantageous to verify carefully the information on the Avis, especially the reduction of 10pcent ( Abattement Spécial) from the declared pensions, subject to a maximum prescribed annually. Also the calculation of the tax credit in respect of tax already paid in the UK using the following: Impot avant réductions d'impot x Crédits d'impot sur rev. étrangers, montant déclaré = Total des réductions Revenu imposable In the past I have found the calculation to be erroneous - maybe the stagiaires have been given something to do! UaG
3. My understanding is that you will receive either a reduction in impots payable or, if you do not pay sufficient tax, you will receive the appropriate adjusted amount from the tax office, so if the amount is not declared you lose any receivable amount.
4. I understand the difference, but confused by the OP referring to teeth falling out (not broken); where is the crown fitted in this case? UaG
5. Just had a crown, ceramic, fitted at the front - 850€! After CPAM & mutuelle contributions my charge was 280€. A temporary one was fitted (60€) pending the definitive one (600€) - I did have one above the standard basic type so expected to pay a bit! Just to be clear Menthe - is it a crown or an implant you're discussing? UaG
6. Absolutely the best match so far - not a yellow or red card in sight. Maybe a little of getting to know each other better from time to time, but played in the correct spirit with respect from each team. UaG
7. A bigger shambles yet to come after the appointment of the new CEO, Abi Tierney, former Directer general of the passport office and UK visas and immigration (according to the news report). Just to tick a box or two, you couldn't make it up. I can only guess what the former Pontypool front row would would have said! Just hope that Warren gets on with the job and the players respond in the time honoured way - "when the going gets tough the tough get going". I don't agree that support for Wales or any other team should change with the wind of "shambles"- as a Welshman (or should it be person!) born in the shadow of the Arms Park I will support Wales whatever; if Wales fall by the wayside, then yes, I shall be for La france, but it's a second choice.
8. So Ken, I like many of the more mature members of this forum tend to ignore most of the detritus but don't plead the victim - I recall a quite unnecessary post from you when Guardian ventured forth some weeks ago; why did you do it, maybe you've got nothing better to do! We used to have useful discussions and help each other as well as be criticised in a constructive way; just take a look at the past years ( before you came on the scene). Many of the previous posters have given up - more's the pity.
9. Hi, read an article in L'Independant (Aude) today - internet high debit for 40€ per month by Starlink; more details on Starlink.com - downside is payment of 450€ for the equipment, which is transportable, 100€ contribution towards severance from existing provider. The monthly abonnement has been reduced in stages from an initial 100€ p month to 60€ & now immediately to 40€pm. Maybe Orange will become more pro-active and provide high debit sooner in the deprived areas and at reasonable price!
10. Hi, Usually British as I've found it's beneficial to pay on board in sterling! UaG
11. Maybe the "gentleman's agreement" can extend to not "stalking" and trying to second guess who is posting on other forums! I replied to a member of this forum that I was NOT the poster of certain comments on another forum - my time was otherwise occupied and one forum was enough! UaGallois
12. There have always been (and always will be) good, bad and indifferent teachers, as is the case in any profession. Presumably that's why OFSTED was created. Additionally there's the teachers' pets to assess realistically! Just saying. UaG
13. Hi, speaking from memory you should not have been charged the full CSG etc. on relevant income gained in 2018, only the solidarity 7.5%. (Provided you ticked the box to say you are the holder of an S1) UaG
14. Hi, just a warning about Easytrip who have sent an email telling me my account for 25€ for June is available on line (despiteI my sending the doofer back on 14 March). Looking at Trustpilot it seems that I am not the only one - so my prélèvement bancaire arrangement has been cancelled (should have done this as a matter of course, but these things tend to be overlooked). UaG
15. Yes, def the NS&I accounts (PSB) and no harm in declaring the credit card accounts. UaG
16. Update! At last, good news. Received appropriate refunds for CSG paid in 2015 (after enlisting the aid of the Conciliator Fiscal), 2016 and 2017, together with CSG deducted at source from an AV encashment. in 2018. The letter from the Service Contentious specified quite clearly that interest would be payable, but I initially received the bare amounts. Only after further cajoling did the local office deliver the interest - not a bad return, just over a straight 5% on the principal amount. Bonne chance UaGallois
17. Couldn't agree more, spot on. Must be the "lockdown effect"! UaG (Comment on Gardian's post!)
18. Previous post. Social charges already deducted from AV, so received amount net! Request for amounts taken to be refunded. Watch this space! UaG 14/09/2019 At last! Claim has now been determined favourably. UaG
19. Hi, pm'd you - not me - one forum is enough! UaG
20. Hi, don't hold your breath - our local rag, L'Independant, Aude, had the following yesterday and still has not been corrected! "Coronavirus - L'Elysée confirme la prolongation du confinement après le 15 avril Emmanuel Macron s'exprimera le lundi 16 avril" The question about wearing a mask will have to be "également évoqué". Is it happening today, next Monday or illogically next Thursday? Not long to wait! UaG
21. Thanks, Parsnips. I have passed it to the Conciliator Fiscal - seems quite easy. As I said in my post, the amount is not earth shattering, but I resent the local inspector taking it upon himself to decide it rather than pass it to the DDFIP with my claim for 2016 & 2017. I gave him the chance to rethink, but he restated his rejection. Semper sursum! UaG
22.
Oh yes, please, Gallois, do let us know! I claimed for 2015 at the time but that was refused. Would be a nice Christmas present if they'd stop pussyfooting around and just give us our money back[:D]
Update! Letter received 20/03 AR allowing, in part, claim for income received in 2016 & 2017 together with interest - have yet to see the colour of the money. The original claim for three years included 2015 (within time limit), but that year was rejected by the local office and not passed to the DDFIP "controle expertise"; hence a decision from above has only been given for two of the years. The local office has confirmed today that their original decision given on 11/10/2018 is still valid. I am contemplating taking the matter to the conciliator fiscal - the amount is not earth shattering, but nevertheless worth pursuing, but if there's no more than 50% prospect of winning why start the fight! I recall reading that others on the forum have succeeded in claims for 2015. UaG
23.
I don't believe everything that's published as news - some but not all may be factual, but we're all in this together!! UaG
24. I don't believe everything that's published as news - some but not all may be factual, but we're all in this together!! UaG
25. Hi, does anyone know the rules (maybe there aren't any!) concerning "plusieurs" travelling together for shopping? I've come across what is happening in Spain, but haven't found anything definitive for France - there has been a view expressed that if two people, usually a couple in the same foyer, need to go together for mutual assistance etc. it's ok. I see that Nomoss was stopped on the way to SuperU at Trebes - presumably there was no comment made by the gendarmes? UaG
