1.
My little Kia Rio has a three cylinder petrol engine. Can it take these new fuels and if so which one, svp?
The newest fuel for petrol engines is probably Superethanol E85, which is 85% ethanol, but not all vehicles can use it. Compatibiltiy details are HERE You can find stations supplying it  HERE

 3. What a pity. It might have forced those motards with really noisy exhausts who scream along the road by our house to fit the correct silencers.
 4. As we don't own a smart phone I printed a Pass Sanitaire for each of us on July 1st. I just accessed the Ameli site to print duplicate copies, and noticed that the QR codes are different from those on the previous printouts. Checking a few minutes later, the QR codes have changed again. Does anyone know if this means the printouts have a limited validity, or does accessing the site to print a pass invalidate the previous one printed? If we go out for a meal or a drink, or to a centre commercial I don't want to carry passes that are no use. I'm beginning to understand why people are demonstrating against the passes. Accurate information about them is sparse, incomplete, and difficult to find.

 7. I think these people are following the same line of warped "logic" that I have seen in other places. Decide to be "anti-vax" for no definable reason except that your generation is not used to compulsory vaccination, and you don't see why it should apply to you. Search the internet for information, however tenuous and unreliable, to justify your stance. The more outrageous the better. Vehemently attack anyone who disagrees with you by screaming about your "evidence" at every opportunity. This will attract other misfits and losers whose main occupation is attacking the "establishment", who will help you bolster your opinion of your own superior attitude. It helps if you can join a mob of similarly poorly educated, easily influenced people with a equally low IQ.
 8.

What a disgusting spectacle. They need spraying with something a bit stronger than disinfectant. I think a vaccination certificate should be required for admission to urgences for anyone with Covid symptoms. I don't care if they die, thousands of others may because of them spreading the virus.
I agree with you.  Imagine how the medical staff feel about these anti-vaccers.  I saw a report on CNN interviewing a woman hospitalized with COVID in the U.S.  She said she regretted not getting vaccinated.  The reporter asked her why she hadn't gotten vaccinated and her answer was she simply "hadn't gotten around to it."  So, I refer back to my other comment; there are a lot of stupid people in the world.
I have seen several whining on TV, here and in the UK, about how they wished ......... as they gradually suffocate with the virus. I find it impossible to sympathise.
 9.
I think that instead of using water cannons the police when dealing with the idiot rioting protesters should just spray them with disinfectant. Lots of them look like they need disinfecting. ??
What a disgusting spectacle. They need spraying with something a bit stronger than disinfectant. 10. Reductions in the cost of employing someone at home have changed recently. The cheque emploi can now be used by anyone to obtain at least 2€ per hour off the cost of small jobs around the house, regardless of age or resources, as well as larger refunds for those over 70, and with modest incomes. This system also ensures that workers are employed legally, and are covered by insurance in case of an accident. Details HERE
 11. His POSTERS in Beziers are rather offensive in my view, and not relevant to anything happening today. I don't suppose he did anything in the past that he now regrets.
 12. It's said there's one born every minute, and I'm beginning to believe that.
 13. In Palma, Mallorca, they used to pick up water just outside the harbour, flying down the line of Avenue Argentina and crossing the sea front road between the tallest buildings, just above treetop height. Quite scary if you happened to be approaching the junction at the time. Even more so than the approach over Kowloon to the old Hong Kong airport.
 14.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W67vfNcfdxE
Why does that particular phrase of the anthem sound like "A***holes, citoyens? I wonder how many will be gasping for breath in intensive care in a couple of weeks, like a young football fan on BBC News yesterday, who really enjoyed watching games in his local pub.

 16.
Where is it all coming from?
The piece mentions a few sources, but misses some, such as: Lead from paint and plumbing in old houses and old mains which have not been replaced due to cost and inconvenience. For older people - Lead in petrol, before it was banned in the EU in 2000. Although aircraft can still use leaded petrol. Arsenic and other heavy metal residues leaching into water courses around HERE, and probably many other old mining areas.
 17. It seems impossible to eat a healthy diet here - even bio veggies are BAD NEWS.
............  All packed and off we went. 8°C in the pouring rain getting to Chamonix , -3°C at the top of the Aiguille de Midi in snow, fog and clouds (though it did clear to give magnificent views). No queuing for anything as no crowds at all. Pouring rain, fog, clouds round the cols in the Jura. Torrential rain, close to the road lightening strikes and rivers of water on the road to Strasbourg. Rivers crossing closed, raging rivers, magnificent waterfalls. Got back to Nantes yesterday, 32°C,  ...................
Sounds like a good substitute for sailing [:D]
 19. They are OK, and quick to cook, sliced, with a little butter in a covered saucepan. Turned over when they start to brown. Better than boiling them, when they taste like wet paper flavoured with water.

 21. It's not Facebook, so maybe not reliable[:D], but for the probably few on here who still use UK driving licenCes, THIS is the latest information from the French gov't.
 22.
................non-vacciners make me sick. I really don’t understand their reasoning. Our neighbour is one of them - he’s an idiot and always was. I’m not a happy bloke.
And they can probably still get a FAKE CERTIFICATE
 23.
@ chessfou2 I think you'll find that the French paper licence (the pink one), althoughi showing no expiry date now expires in 2033. Haven't got the legislation to hand but it was introduced as part of the homologation of EU licences.
HERE you go :o)
