  1. Try "Ratiopharm. Eau de mer, hygiène du nez" or Stérimar. Made for babies but works for adults!

  10. Maigret is on France 2 at 14h45 every weekday and France 3 is showing Noce Blanche (with Vanessa Paradis) at 20h35 tonight. I liked his "old" films and must admit that I preferred him as Maigret even though Jean Richard had been known as Maigret for donkey's years. I was surprised to learn he was 80 too; he was always around!

  19. I always have a tube of Aureomycin pommade ophtalmique here in case of emergency. My Vet says it's fine to use it for a couple of days while waiting to see him and it usually clears up any infection very quickly. Clean the eye first with warm water, wiping from the nose to the outer eye and put the ointment in in the same direction. SEE A VET IF THINGS DON'T CLEAR UP AFTER 48 HOURS
  20. Pull the little bit of rubber ring that sticks out! I usually need a pair of pliers as my arthritic fingers can't hold tight enough to pull! If the ring breaks, dig with a pointed knife (mind your fingers) until you let some air into the pot.
