AS LINER HAD TO BE PLACED AND TO PREVENT AIR TRAPPED BEHIND IT FILLED WITHIN 2 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WELL ONLY SUPPLIED 3 CU.M. PER DAY BEFORE RUNING POSSIBLY DRY. NEIGHBOUR SAID I COULD FILL FROM A NATURAL SORCE RUNNING ON HIS LAND A MILE AWAY. I BORROWED 1000LITR STEEL CONTAINER FROM MARIE AND MY FRENCH NEIGHBOUR TIED  IT ONTO HIS TRACTOR. I BOUGHT A 20 METRE LENGTH  OF HOSE ,STUCK INTO THE SOUCE WHICH HAD ENOUGH PRESSURE TO FORCE WATER TO TOP OF CONTAINER AND FILL IT EVERY HOUR. I THEN BEGGED FARMER TO DRIVE IT TO MY PLASTIC POOLS AND TOPPED THEM UP. IT TOOK ABOUT 10 DAYS WORKING FROM 0800A.M.TO 0800.P.M. AND THE NEIGHBOUR WOULD NOT TAKE A SOU. NOW THATS WHAT I CALL A FRIENDLY NEIGHBOUR .I PERSUADED HIM AND IS FAMILY TO GO TO A RESTAURANT AND HAVE WHATEVER THEY WANTED. NOW I DID ASKPOMPIERS IF THEY COULD DELIVER FROM RIVER AND THE WATER COMPANY-BUT THEY SAID NO.!!!!!!!!!!! AT ONE TIME I THOUGHT I HAD BOUGHT THE FIRST DRY SWIMMING POOL IN THE WORLD. SUGEST YOU FOLLOW MY ROUTE UNLESS A PIPE CAN BE HIRED TO CONNECT TO  WELL  AND PRESSURE IS GREAT ENOUGH.. GOOD LUCK.[st]

What is your pool temp.?or have you a cover or are heating it or you are young and brave.I live in southern haute vienne and have had salt pool for 5 years with heater and auto. chlorinater and only bought 4-5 bags salt last year -20 euro per 25kilo bag. have not found it expensive except for heatingbut the madame will not swim if below 28 even though she was born in the tough n.e. of england where you needed diving wet suit before going into the sea!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Changes in laws and poor advice initially resulted in buying a Walter  cover which now not   passing norms.costing 4658 euro plus extra snow supports,a bubble  sun cover,blue, on  telescopic stainless steel  roller for 10 x4.5 metre pool with roman end cost 640euro-also now unuseable unless you have fence or a completely roofed pool.!!!! p.s. Just thought any one out there intersested in my bubble cover??? only used for 3 seasons any fair ofers considered or i will put on e-bay and sell it to an eskimo. same goes with Walter cover.THE COVER WILL TAKE WEIGHT OF YOUNGSTER UP TO 8 YEARS BUT MADE BEFORE NEW TEST AND CHANGES  REQUIRED BY LAWS. If you have room in the car suggest you bring some plants with you as range in france not yet as great as u.k.and can sometimes be more expensive here.However if you are buying more expensive plants/shrubs/trees then probably best bought locally as many are guaranteed. we have been in south limousin area adjoining dordogne for 5 years and started with only the exiting ,chestnut.oak and beech trees ,but the other half is the expert -like most women gardeners and i am the shifter.!!!!!!!!!!!!!! when a plant does not like an area or needs more or less shade then thats when i shift it.!!!!!!!!!! not to be left on my own as i pulled up a large weed which apparently was a honeysuckle-- well how are we men supposed to know. we nowhave many different types but as others have pointed out you need to check the soil ph.which is very simple.if your french is not too good bring a ph test kit from u.k. as instructions easier to follow. yours , lady chatterley's gardener/labourer. p.s. just moved 6 shrubs.     again.!!!!!!!!!!!!!! buying a bag of cement tomorrow that will stop her moving them.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i have just been told a garden is never finished and all things will be moved more than once and if i complain again i will have to learn to cook my own dinner.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   oh.hell.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! better go and put the early potatoes in.[ip][W][:)][W]
