1. Thank you....thats the one! I shall contact the garage today and get them to take another look.
2. The sybol is on the very top left of the dash display. I was only worried that it may mean that the engine may seize up![:(] Hubby bled it once before and did get some air out of the system , so this is perhaps this is the bush/washer giving problems. Thanks to all and I will look at that link cooperola gave too,
3. has anyone else had this problem?   I drive this car, a few weeks ago a light came on , on the dashboard. I have the Heynes manual but the symbol is not shown in there. The light is orange and the picture looks like an engine blowing air!  I have noticed a reduction in speed performance going uphill, I took it to our local Citroen dealer who plugged it to the computer....when they did the light went out so they sent me on my way without charge. The deisel consumption appears normal, around 50mpg. But this light has come back on....I am on my own at the moment and do not need to be broken down on a country road at tnight, has anyone got any suggestions, hubby suggested a blocked injector and to go and buy something to go in the tank, only thing is the nearest place I can buy that is about 6k down aforesaid country road.
4. Latest aquisition....Quicksilver rucksack for 3 euros....may have been used....perhaps once, the lady said it was too big for her daughter to carry!
5. I do underdstand that you can work and sign on as unemployed, I do that myself as I only work by cheques emploi for a few hours a week and would still like some extra work, so i can do this, but I am not eligable for Unemployment benifit. Mr O has also been in the same situation as Clairs husband. The man I spoke to has mentioned before that he is allowed to earn a little legaly and still claim his benefits.........I am curious about how much on top of the Chomager allowance is allowed.
6. I met a neighbour today who I hadn't seen for a while. I asked if he was working as I hadn't seen him around the village. He said no he was still unemployed but in his terms said he was allowed to"touch l`argent"  which I take to mean that he is still registered and claiming his unemployment benifit but was allowed to earn a little too. I have had a look at assedic website but cannot find anything that relates to that, does anyone on here know?  I am curious at what hours can be worked whilst claiming  this benifit or what amount is allowed to be earned. Not that it will affect me as i do sign on as unemployed but have no right to benifit.
7. Our yongest , who is in Primaire, came home yesterday in a bad mood because her teacher will not be striking on Thursday, whereas the other 2 class teachers will be on strike. Eldest at college said that they will have transport as they have a new driver , Lunch is assured too, which she was happy about as they are serving one of her favorite meals! as for classes, well she wont know who will be there or not untill the day arrives, so Mum may be needed to fetch her home earlier if the afternoon is disrupted.
8. Take it or leave it Chris but you are welcome to park your truck outside ours for a few weeks.....
9. I need a new tyre on my moped (honda 50cc) I am hoping to load this onto a trailor to get it to a bike spares place for fitting (it is the rear tyre ), but if I did not have a trailor to do this ,is it usual for garages/bike shops to do a mobile fitting service.......I ask this as my nearest bike shop is about 15k away.....a long way to go with a puncture/flat tyre.
10. Black Levi 501 , look like they have never been worn ....1 Euro.....perfect fit.  Week later another vide grenier stone washed levis 50cents!!!! Eastpack rucksack in Pink ,guy wanted 2 euros, 10 year old fluttered her eyelashes and routed in her change purse and accepted a euro coin. Computer monitor 5 euros.....been working perfectly now for over a year. Touch wood!! le crueset casserole  another euro well spent ...oh and a stainless steel lasagne tray , looked brand new (now well used) for a euro too1 The list is endless
11. Carcassonne apear to be sun and Thursday , Girona to l/pool are sun, mon,wed and friday during the winter.
12. Budget from perpignan? If you mean BMI baby to Manchester then yours and my idea of budget are very different.  Ryanair only go to Stanstead from perpignan.........not quite close enough to Liverpool/manchester for me[blink] I suppose I am fortunate enough to live half way between Carcassonne and Girona and choose my flights according to the price (ie I only fly when they are cheep)
13. Georgina, how about phoning the store you did buy the bag from........perhaps they are not as Rotweilerish and could come up with a solution .
14. Decathalon was my first thought, they have everything!
15.
Not so fast as I thought you were Woolly.   Opas! PINK[:)] Now stop or this will get pulled[:D]
They will have to take the batteries out first.........
16.
Thank goodness![;-)]
what colour did you choose?
17. I have 3 Apple trees in my garden, the ones that have not been got at by bugs are going to be stored in trays in the garage, but there are lots that have been nibbled by the little bugs (but only a tiny hole) and so I thought I would cut away this little bit and freeze the rest of the apple. I have done some searches and found apple sauce, and one where freezing the slices after treating with a shop bought acid?  does anyone have a good freexing tip?  I eventually want to use them for pies and crumbles, so do not want a mush.
18. I have been wondering about the OP question myself lately, I work for a doctor,  , she drives a top of the range car and hubby has his own car and plays with motorbikes, they have a beautifull home which is looked after by a daily cleaner.   the money I get paid comes in very handy so I do not want to rock the boat by asking personal questions, so I too wonder if there is some kind of government salary aside from her 20+ euros per consultation. Just curious, sing as if one looks at the ANPE website and searches for a job as a Medicin , it apears with a salary which doesn't apear very well paid......so is this in addition to the consultation fee?
19. Oh joy! Its not just me then. We have lived here since 2003 and it also took us some time to get our prized Carte vitales, then you think you can sit back and relax a bit, untill you decide to do something different, like register a car or apply for planning permission and all the parperwrk that comes with that. Not me , I get a "little" job, under Cheques emploi, and suddenly I get letters from CPAM stating that my SS number is invalid (funny that ) I used it to get the 3 girls of the family new glasses, all of us have had dental treatment including one hospital admitance for extraction of wisdom teeth, various scans and one member of the family having numerous referals and hospital visits as ALD 100%. Just to show what a functionaires paradise it all is, yesterday I had to go to EDF offices in Perpignan, wait for it, it took 3 people in the same room to make one phone call......one with the receiver in his hand, the other to sort out the number and a 3rd joined in by pressing to speaker mode , whilst myself and Mr O sat there trying not to laugh!

Dragonora?

Perhaps I am cracking up. my mind tells me it is something to do with Nora Batty of Last of the Summer wine fame!
21. Val, take a look around some of the UK freebie websites , I printed off a voucher from one that gave me a half price eye test at a very reputable high stret opticians (cost was around £15.00, opposed to £30...) and very thorough, it took nearly an hour. pm me for more details if interested. I have found that unless you have th top of the range top up cover you only get a few pounds back anyway from them and CPAM also only give a few quid back too  ( I wonder why it works like that when you get everything back from the dentist) I couln't get 2 for one at either the 2 places mentioned as my prescription is too complex. But when I visited one of the other chains in France they quoted me for their own brand , I asked for Zeiss (which I have worn for years and should own shares in them by now!) and the price was half of the stores own and less than I paid for my last pair 4 years ago in the UK[blink]
22. I got out the long trousers and a sweatshirt to go out this morning too! The sky has cleared now and is lovely and blue but my fingers and toes are cold, I mentioned to Mr O last night that there was an Autumn like nip in the air.........strange.

I clicked on the link and dissapointingly all it said was not available! We feel sure that it was either dragonora or dragonara.......other half thought it was something to do with catweezle........
24. Does anyone remember a charactor from a childrens programme called Dragonora?  For some reason during a conversation last evening this name came up and none of us could think which (if any!) programme she was from.
