  1. Treated timber has an Euro class B rating, apparently.
  2. As I have said before Ken, it is odd indeed that the fake Ken has the same number of posts as you. Do you have anyone else in your household using your computer/laptop? Do you log in/out of the forum each time that you use it?
  3. It is noted as glucides on packs (in the same way that carbs are) in the nutritional info. So, as a diabetic, it is that info that you will need. However, in France I am not sure that you could much use the word in a restaurant, for example.
  4. Wot, no freshly ground pepper (gasp) ?
  5. I bought my first bunch today, will be having it with our lunch tomorrow. They can keep their white ones, I'm a sucker for those delicate green heads, the soup I make with the cooking water and the rest, even the smelly pee afterwards. Spring has sprung.
  6. I sympathise. I'm guessing, over your years of experimenting, that you have tried reducing, or splitting your lantus?
  7. Apparently it's a meal substitute, not a medication as such, although it is aimed at diabetics. I've searched, but it doesn't seem to be available in France.
  8. Yes, I hadn't fully understood, until the news reports this morning, what all the fuss was about. But they are protesting that the water to fill the basins will be drawn from the water table, taking water that, in theory, belongs to everyone. The water will then be the property of the farmers. And, as Dave points out, evaporation will be an important issue too. I've nothing against the genuine protesters camped out at the site, but trouble has already started this morning with the black blocs, who arrived this morning, using explosives.
  9. But both Kens have the same number of posts, so the fake Ken has the same number of posts as the real one.
  10. There is something weird in the first photo, if you do a google lens image search on it, the is some Sanskrit text inserted into the first dormer window on the left hand side ( light grey box, hover curser over, copy and paste into new google window). દી which apparently means day
  11. Ken, I doubt that you account has been hacked, otherwise you would have to log back into your account after each fake post. Probably more to do with the quote function, and the ability to edit quotes and their coding.
  12. You could try contacting Les Amis des Animaux https://lesamisdesanimaux.com/contact/ They are based in South West France, but rescue and rehome animals throughout France. They would try to find a foster family for your dogs, with a view to rehoming them. They have a website, but are also very active on Facebook. https://www.facebook.com/groups/313621008806233
  13. Where are you in France Clare?
  14. Could you not ask the person who sent you the photo to check the exif on the original?
  15. I agree ALBF, it looks abandoned (plenty of broken windows) so probably for sale as well. And not a chateau either, a manoir or maison de maitre perhaps. Bearing in mind that immobiliers rarely put the exact location of properties they have for sale, they can be hard to track down, unless you visit with them.
  16. Being asked to be on the council, passing my driving test, becoming a pompier (can I have 3 things)?
  17. Kenny, Kenny, you make a lot of assumptions. But in order for you to insult me, I would first have to value your opinion.
  18. Once again Kenny, I find myself asking, really? No, seriously, REALLY? Heaven forfend that you should ever grow old!
  19. Oh I am so very sorry to hear this. She was a wise, witty and warm person, who could express more in four or five words than most of us could say in a paragraph. She was quite the character, I will miss her.
  20. "Commercial telephone canvassing of consumers is permitted from Monday to Friday, from 10am to 1pm and from 2pm to 8pm. However, it is prohibited on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. This is provided for in a decree published in the Official Journal on 14 October 2022." https://www.service-public.fr/particuliers/actualites/A16052
