  1. I've not had to use it so can't really help. However all the instructions are in this PDF https://www.impots.gouv.fr/portail/files/formulaires/2074/2019/2074_2640.pdf
  2. This has the complete information on Crédit d'impôt pour la transition énergétique (CITE) declaration https://www.service-public.fr/particuliers/vosdroits/F1224 including: Conservez vos justificatifs car l'administration fiscale peut vous les réclamer (facture de l'entreprise ayant fourni les matériaux/équipements et réalisé les travaux). .
  3. I've not done this as a first time for many years so I automatically get the required form 3916 But I think on page 4 (?) you should click on Declarations Annexes which should give you the option of form 3916. You should tick box 8UU which is under Divers on form 2042 and you need to put the bank and other foreign account details on form 3916 see https://www.impots.gouv.fr/portail/international-particulier/questions/declaring-foreign-bank-accounts-and-life-insurance-policies-held as it is not just bank accounts
  4. If you are using Windows you can use the Windows Task Manager (start it holding down the Ctrl Shift Esc keys all together) then click on Applications or Processes, find Firefox and End Task/Process to force deletion of Firefox but it is probably easier just to reboot as Firefox shouldn't start automatically.
  5. If you have CCleaner or Glary Utilities it is worth running one of those (including the the registry cleaners) to try to get rid of any unwanted files/registry entries after you have uninstalled Firefox. Then reboot and reinstall.
  6. You could try resetting it to the default settings. https://malwaretips.com/blogs/reset-firefox-settings/ Have you already tried uninstalling Firefox, downloading the latest version and reinstalling?
  7. Did the Standard Life policy include an element of life insurance and was it based in the EU (so not IoM, Jersey, Guernsey, etc).? If so it would be treated more favourably for tax as an assurance vie rather than just an investment capital gain.
  8. I would start by reading https://www.remaininfrance.org/living-legally-in-france-before-brexit.html
  9. I've been using 0.01 as 0.00 wasn't accepted in previous years. I've not yet started on my tax for this year yet so don't know if they've changed the program,
  10. I follow the same as in the Parsnip quote by fittersmate. What I've never understood is whether the grossing up could cause your total pre-tax income to be higher which could take you in to a higher tax band or whether it was ignored in that calculation?
  11. It would be sensible anyway to get into the French system as early as possible so you can start collecting documents.
  12. see https://www.securange.fr/reglemenation-ece-et-i-size for a fuller explanation Can you fit the two child seats next to each other?
  13. Sometimes Orange accounts have been used by spammers and the IP address they used at the time has been blacklisted. Those IP addresses are not fixed so you could have been assigned one when you next logged in. As a result, your e-mail could have been blocked or sent to spam by the recipient's ISP mail server spam detection.
  14. Regular 2018 income is not going to be taxed. Exceptional income will be taxed. The prélèvements being taken now are those for your expected 2019 tax and are based on your tax bill for 2017 (as they don't have any better figure to work with). If you think it is going to be too inaccurate, you can change it online. From now on income tax will be taken in advance for the current year with differences sorted out later. To avoid tax payments for both 2018 and 2019 in one calendar year, the French government will apply a tax credit on the 2018 regular income which will remove any income tax on the 2018 regular income. The 2018 income tax return still needs to be completed in 2019 to determine the income tax on all the regular and extraordinary income. Then the credit for the regular income will be applied but there will be a tax charge for anything over and above the regular income (which will be billed later this year). So for regular income (e.g. pensions), even if from the UK, will have been declared in previous years and, as I understand it, the prélèvements should be based on those.
  15. A trawl of the French sites is quicker https://selectra.info/energie/guides/comparatifs/electricite-gaz-bois-fioul-propane https://www.fournisseurs-electricite.com/guides/equipements/fin-chaudiere-fioul/choisir-fioul-ou-gaz The French government are planning to get rid of oil heating boilers in ten years https://www.lemondedelenergie.com/gouvernement-fioul/2018/11/30/
  16. The French eat the cheese with the last of the red wine and then have a sweet wine with dessert. Not sure where the wine fits in with British dessert but the British (used to) have port with (stilton) cheese.
  17. Regular 2018 income is not going to be taxed. Exceptional income will be taxed. 18. How do they know which country's banks a pension is paid into? I've never told the French tax office? My monthly prélèvement this year is based on the tax for my total income as declared last year which they assume will be nearly the same this year. I just expect there to be an adjustment at some point when the amounts (converted into euro) are known. In past years they have done the similar estimating for the quarterly prélèvement; I had to make adjustments one year when I cashed in a life insurance and they assumed it was annual revenue. Isn't there an obligation to ensure you pay the appropriate prélèvements and possible fines if you deviate too much?
  19. The last entry on the last page of your tax assessment for last year should indicate what they expect you to pay this year and the frequency of payments. If you completed your tax online last year you will have given them details of your bank account so it should already be disappearing from your bank account monthly, if they assessed you need to pay tax this year. I'm not sure what would happen if you did it all on paper but I would have thought those last lines on the printed assessment would be similar.
  20. Here is is usually Emmental or Cantal with some Bleu d' Auvergne to add some sharpness. In England it is a good strong Cheddar or a milder Cheddar with Stilton
  21. If this is interest from a UK account it should be declared on form 2047 first. If you do it online, the sum, which will be in 2TR, will be automatically carried over to form 2042. You can read about the use of 2OP at https://www.corrigetonimpot.fr/declaration-impot-prelevement-forfaitaire-unique-pfu-case-2op/ It seems to be concerned with stopping the single flat-rate levy (PFU) taken automatically by French financial services
  22. All you need to know about declaring online https://www.impots.gouv.fr/portail/www2/minisite/declaration/je-declare-mes-revenus-en-ligne.html
  23. I've received a 2042 (as a reminder to someone with foreign income?) but the accompanying documentation says everyone should be completing online from this year unless they have a good excuse.
  24. It was forced on the ISPs by the regulator. Possibly the French regulator might, at some time in the future, think it is a good idea.
  25. They don't seem to have an expiry time. It is over over ten years since I moved from Orange and I've still got three active wanadoo e-mail addresses. I've also got some web sites on Orange which are still live. But I can't update/delete them as I need an Orange account to access them.
