  1. Sorry, Sue , to be so late in replying. I started looking too soon for a reply and then stopped too soon. As I said to Pomme, I will know to be more patient next time! The amounts are correct , CSG-CRDS charged at 9,70% and Prel Sol at 7,50% on our savings interest. I also added that we were SI holders on the 2047K. I wondered at first that with brexit we would have to pay both sets of charges. I await their reply to my reclamation and will keep the forum posted. Thanks again for your help. I hope I didn't add to confusion with Avis 2020 - I meant Avis 2021 on 2020 revenus.
  2. Sorry, Pomme to be so late in replying, but I thought I wasn't going to get a reply so I stopped checking. I will know the next time! Yes I did tick those boxes on 2042C and drew their attention to it with "voir cadres 1 et 8" . This is the declaration 2021 sur les revenus de 2020. I have sent in a Reclamation , referring to deRuyter and our previous successful claims. Thanks again for helping.
  3. Good afternoon everyone. Our Avis has arrived and despite being retired SI holders and noting that we are exempt from these social charges, we have been charged. In previous years we were not charged and following excellent templates here we made successful claims for monies after the De Ruyter decisions. We are assuming this is a mistake from what I have read but does anyone know exactly how I should phrase my letter/email to the DGdFP? What references should I quote? We filled in a paper declaration as usual. Any help would be appreciated as it is quite a considerable sum. The Prel Sol has been charged correctly. Thanks, in anticipation.
  4. Yes, we did, with 2 months notice , which we appealed and the notice was extended. The bank was Danske bank Northern Ireland. Several friends have had the same thing happen to them and, worse still, Natwest and others are not opening any new nonUK resident accounts. Since the beginning of November 2020 we have been in the process of opening accounts with HSBC- a slow, ongoing process, which has stopped for my husband, due to them not having an up-to-date signature to process instructions. I am still persevering......
  5. Mr.B and I got our 10 year cards from the prefecture on Thursday . The very helpful lady told us that when we ask for an exchange for the new cards we should be aware that our card number will hold all of our dossier and that we would probably have to quote this number. When I queried whether this might be all we would have to do , she said she didn't know.To us this looked like a sensible way to process these new cards...…… ( Just adding our pennyworth to the thread. Keep safe everyone.
  6. Thanks Hereford, Woolybanana Sue in 56 and especially Pomme for the reassurance that, despite being told otherwise by my local tax office, we will get interest payments. I will keep a close watch on the delay and if it goes over another month I will be mentioning the conciliateur..Another wee worry - are the interest payments taxable? Thanks again.
  7. Apologies if this has been covered. We, in the Charente, have received repayment of all social charges. However, no interest despite being told by one small tax office that they would be paid. Went to the bigger local tax office, who phoned someone who said that interest is not due in the case of social charges and that the reason that the document from them ( bigger tax office) said interest was due was that when they forward a reclamation they claim interest as a matter of course whether due or not. So, my questions. Has anyone actually been paid any interest and, is so, which department and if anyone in the Charente has been paid interest. As a side issue I had sent an email to Angouleme and the first reply said the interest was calculated automatically. The second reply to my query about the non appearance of interest has brought the reply that the matter has been sent to the SIP Angouleme ( from the Dept. for Reclamations Contentieuses. Regards to all for2020.
  8. Thanks Pomme. To be honest I've no idea. The thought of going through the calculations again makes me , well, not, ill, but not a happy bunny. The actual tax will be , I hope quite small and Iam prepared to pay it as I am glad to get shot of the whole thing for another year. Thinking it over as I type this, I think you might be correct., Pomme. I now have to do battle with HMRC who have been taxing me on my total income instead of just my govt pension and I can only mentally deal with one tax outfit at a time. You will all maybe hear about the battle on the forum. Thanks again to all posters and all the best to those of us who are still dealing with the declaration.
  9. I worked out my capital gain ( plus-values) and there is a box or section 3 on the blue or pink form to declare the gain as a gross sum with no deduction or abatement if you accept the flat rate tax. Now on the 2074 I think it was page 2 and I ticked page 8 ( a bit about being an SI holder).Basically I went onto a French site for tax lawyers, maybe notaires, by googling remboursement de capital . Just checked I ticked on form 2047K Section 3 box 3VG 3UA -the gross gain, then cadre 3 the abatement - the reduction of 65% for holding the shares for more than 8 years. I claim no responsibility for the correctness of what I just did - it was all to the best of my knowledge at the time . The gross went into box 3VG on the 2042 main form .On 2042C Section 3 the plus values bit I put the abatement into Box £3Sg and the gross into 3UAand then we ticked Boxes 8SH and 8SI - vous n'etes pas a la charge d'un regime de securite sociale francais.well, , at least they know all about it everywhere and actually the actual tax amount is small. I handed the form in over a week ago, but kept photocopies. I don't think I could have handled this on line.
  10. Thanks Idun and Eurotrash and sorry for the lateness of the thanks. We will print names on back of photos . I have just finished my covering letter of request which has a list of the documents we are supplying as justificatifs and then, over the weekend , check all docs. in same order as the letter and post off on Tuesday and then off to UK to see son and grandchildren with a calm mind. Thanks again all of you who posted.
  11. Thanks Judith and Hereford. Here in the Charente all dossiers have to be posted in (I am posting LR+AR) and then we get called in to collect our cards, sometime in the distant future. No meetings to hand over, maybe because they are snowed under with the applications and meetings are inefficient. They do contact you if there is a problem with the docs. I am confident we have enough evidence etc and part of me just wants shot of the whole thing. I am going to keep all the originals in a neat folder with my list and hope for no queries as I am putting my head in the sand and forgetting about it as I don't want to get stressed. Thanks again, all of you.Mrs.B.
  12. Thanks Eurotrash,Spider and Idun. I will follow your advice, Idun, and put names and DoB on the back as that was what we were told to do for our permis de conduire. I have a horror of things going wrong, too. I will send in a list as I had to make a long list for me to check everything off. In the Brits café on Friday I recommended this forum and said that there's this Mrs. Black who has been using the forum for help. I am sure the four month's wait is getting longer and will continue if the number of people I know who still say they must get round to it is anything to go by. Thanks again. Mrs.B
  13. Got the photos, but , should we write our names on the back just in case ? I am not cutting them up and putting them in see-through cellophane envelope? I am probably over-worrying about this but I want the application to go without problems. All the copying done, I just have to write an attestation sur l'honneur for my husband' lack of name on the utility bills and a covering request carte letter. Another question, hopefully the last, is it a good idea to send in a list of the documents you have sent? Thanks again to you helpful people in the forum. Mrs.B.
  14. One thing I found out was that the Health people the CPAM hold "surgeries" for people in Mairies in towns well away from the main cities - Angouleme -in our case. The bigger small towns have them if you understand me. Once a week- you just turn up and wait in a queue. It is easier than the phone. I was told that they don't send attestations out in the post.I was lucky in that I managed to get OH's one. All the best, MrsB.
  15. Hello Laurier, I know the feeling. One thing I did which the site didn't like was the champ for the name. The first time I did it I put in surname followed by first name. So I just put in surname. The other thing was the social security number. I had to leave off the final two numbers. I think it says how many digits there are and the social security number has two extra so leaving off the last two worked. The third thing was that I phoned the help number 3646 if I remember correctly. Not an easy move. It the call centre for all of France and the have a press one for... style. The also ask for you to say -with best accent of course- your department and what your query is for the voice recognition software -if that is what it is - I can see someone smiling at my weak grasp of techie things. This wasn't too bad for me as I only had to say Charente and attestation de droits. Whenever I get menus -press one etc, I tend to do nothing so that they get a human for me. One other thing , the date of birth doesn't come up in the correct format- I had to add in the day. Also the bank IBAN number had me scurrying for the cheque book. Other than that it was quite straightforward. I smile. Hope that helps.Their little ? help things are helpful. I used it to get the issue number on the carte vitale.
