1. I suspect I know the answer to this, but!!! We travel between the UK and France quite a lot. I've set up a PC in France, but now the other half and I tend to take our laptops with us, so wifi is the obvious next step. We currently have a Sagem 800 Fast asdl modem in France, but I have a UK Orange Livebox spare in the UK, which I could take over with me. Power isn't a problem as the anti surge multiplug unit goes into the mains via a French plug, and all the computer stuff plugs into the multi plug on English plugs (good for charging UK mobiles!!). So, will the UK Orange Live box work in France??
2. They are ice speedway tyres, you can see the gaurds in the first shots, but I still wouldn't even think about it!!! I do recall the scene in the Bond movie, when two trail bikes go down a bob sleigh run, very very impressive!!
3. We posted one, and it got there before we did!
4. Maybe I've been lucky, still no problems, though an IT friend of mine has said it can conflict with quite a few other programmes, maybe it's "luck of the draw" of what your running. Sorry that sounds a bit "I'm alright jack" don't mean it too!
5. Having worked in sports coverage, I'm still in contact with a lot of people who still do. Those that should know are saying Putin didn't go to Zurich, because he already knew Russia would get the vote............................. I actually worked in F1, and over the last ten years, four agreements have been signed to hold a Grand Prix in Russia. Each time it has never happened, but all the money that went in, dissapeared...........................
6. Are we talking FP10, or FP10.1? I have installed 10.1 today in both Win7 and Vista, both working fine!
7. Blimey that's a late Hesketh/Hunt picture, that's the 308c the one with the rubber cone suspension, and partially the reason James went to McLaren!! It wasn't a bad programme, although not quite what Andrew Marriott intended when he came up with the idea, but it certainly gave ITV a chance to dog in their archives. Just very nice to see proper racing cars on proper tracks, and as for the bikes! I had a quick blast on a RG500, what a total animal, few could tame that thing, but Barry certainly did. I met James once, when he gave me a karting trophy I had won, he let me hold Oscar, his dogs lead!!!
8. I can suggest Kevin Hunt, who you can e mail at [email protected] He lives near Bergerac, and is fully registered. I think if you Google Thetreepeople, you should find his website.
9. I take it that is on a French policy?
10. Haven't recieved any! I'll go and take a "manual look" as there's been no e mail to tell me. In the mean time I'll PM you my e mail address.
11. It is better in the flesh, honest!!!  Once it goes, I can then install a nice little CB400RR.
12. Is it dead? I only ask as I had a motorbike with an alarm fitted, and the alarm would take very tiny bit out of the battery. I brought two new batteries then someone suggested an Optimate trickle charger. Not only does it keep my battery topped up, even though the bike sits for months on end, but it "brought back" the other two batteries. If you know someone with a trickle charger, it may be worth trying.
13. And it looks like my Ducati will be staying in the garage!! Never mind, I'll take it back to the UK[:(]
14. I hadn't mentioned it, I didn't think it was allowed to in a thread! I would be happy to get my money back. I paid £800, which for Ducati is very cheap. Saw one of these the other day on Ebay go for £1800, and it wasn't as good. I just can't bare to see it slowly rot away, it's been standing for four years (I turn the engine over and rotate the tyres), but I'm never home long enough to change the starter ( I have a new one), and the ankle needs something smaller to change gear on!
15. Very good! No it actually ran really really well, then the starter failed, and before I could get around to stripping it, re-painting the frame, re-building the engine etc etc etc, I injured my ankle, and now can't change gear, so it's a project for someone else now, and a very cheap one at that!!!
16. This is the one I'm parting with, when it was running! It's been sitting for nearly four years now!
17. Depends on a] how old and b] how much renovation you want to do. I'm in the Dordogne, and want to sell the project I was doing. If you want to know more, pm me
18. There's some rather nice Triumph triples about as well, although I wonder how the locals around my way would take a Brit flying around with the Union Flag on the tank. Still, some good ones about, well priced and leaving a  bit of change, you've got me thinking now!
19. I can recommend Advance System Care from Iobit, there is a free version as well. This gets rid of an awful lot of un-needed rubbish, and I run it in conjunction with CCleaner. The new version also includes a booster, that turns off un-neccesary programmes running in the background, that speeds things up!
20. I upgraded recently, and decided after much research, not to get a webbook (mainly solid state, prone to overheating, barebones operating systems etc), and got a sub note book (Acer 1410, we used Acer in F1 and the IT dept' swore by them and Ferrari still use them as do most of the teams), slightly bigger than a web book (but not by very much) but has a full operating system, bigger keyboard, HUGE memory etc, and it came with Win7. So far I cannot fault it (well after Vista anything is an improvement) and I'm extremely happy. There are many geek/tweek sites that have many of the ansers to problems we all encounter so it may well be worth having a look at them, I've already used several of the tweeks for Win7 and it's already faster and frred up a lot of RAM to boot (no pun intended!)
21. Get a secondhand Laverda Jota and spend the change on the house!
22. I avoided Ducatis like the plague, then had to buy one because it was silly cheap, within two miles I realised what I had been missing while riding Japanese bikes. Yes my tool kit has grown in size, and I spend more time fixing it than I'd like, but it's the riding!!!! Get a road test, you'll know if it really is THE bike you want/need.
23. Yes, I have been brushing two times a day, my other half thinks I have met a woman up by the pool! Thanks for the help and advice. Alonso needs taking to one side and given a stern talking to with a fist!! I think Webber should get on the front row, and win Sunday, it's his sort of track, Vettal is a bit ragged on the brakes for the point and squirt sections. I used to love working on the Hungarian GP above nearly all the others, especially as it's the track Mark (Webber) gave me a few pointers in the safety car, although he was a terrible passenger!!
24. Well the 'Anti-Algues Choc' is 20ml/m3 d'eau, as is made up of 'Dimethylamine polymerisee avec le (chloromethyl) oxirane concentrate 17.5% m/m',   well that's what it says on the bottle!!! Long term I have Anti-Algues Super which is 'ammonium quaternaire en solution de aqueuse', that's 1/4 a litre for every 100m3 over seven days Then I have Anti-Algues Super pastels, 200g per pastel, which will be automatically dispensed (by a neighbour!!) one every two days until they are gone. Then he has promised to check every other day while we are away. I may go back to an inflatable paddling pool, filled up when I need to lie down!!
