anotherbanana
Colissimo delivery window was between 10:30 and 14:30 hrs. Time of delivery 14:29 hrs. Well done. The postie who is new started to apologise for a late delivery but when I showed her the time her face lit up. Life’s little pleasures.
menthe
For me too, I have never known a parcel to be late. Well not actually true. I was promised a parcel last week on the Wednesday but when no parcel arrived, I followed the parcel on the la poste website. It seemed stuck somewhere but there was a large notice saying that because of the weather conditions, please be aware that delivery could be "perturbé". It wasn't urgent and I wasn't anxious. Then, the following day I had a message from Amazon itself saying the parcel would be here on Saturday. And so it was. On this accasion, I don't think it was even Colissimo. I think, because Amazon sent the message, it was probably responsible for the late arrival because it couldn't get the parcel out on time. Referring to the UK vs France thread, I am amazed that there are regular UK stories about people's parcels being weeks late or not arriving at all. This scenario has never been my experience in 16 years in 2 different locations in France.
