Me0wp00
My postman informed me today that from 1st March the price of post from France to the UK is going up. At the moment it's a 50cents stamp for a 20g envelope but from 1st March it's 55cents. 10% increase
zeb
The postage rates in France are increasing per se. Not just to Angleterre! The rates for parcel posting are already horrendous. We have decided to go back to the UK next Christmas (free ticket from Speedferries) buy our presents there and hand deliver them. Probably much cheaper.regards.......helen
Graham & Brenda
I asked at our little post office today and madame thought the 50c was going up to 53c - national and for a letter to the UK, so maybe its not quite so bad!Graham
Miki
That's if you can find a post office soon to buy your stamps !!Through whispers, we have heard that 3 known post offices, not too far from us will disappear in the cuts.

The stamps with no value shown will continue to be valid, those showing 50 will require an extra 3c; you can stock up on the former now at the lower rate. They closed some round here but they were so rarely open that I never used them.Mind you, twice this week I've been to one with normal hours only to find it on strike. Open for a chat but not to serve.
