Dave
Hi, it seems that today we have new member that hates France so much he/she is using a signature that links to a rubbish web site that allows no way to contact them so making it impossible to refute the rubbish published on their site. He/she is starting to pop up in various threads. Why do people do this, is there apoint that he/she is trying to make? best regardsDave
Unknown
DaveThey probably aren't liked and therefore have no friends. They probably crave attention and this is the only way they can get it. I bet right now, reading this they are probably beaming from ear to ear.Dotty
Tresco
Yes Dave, I've just come across a rather deranged post by this person.I suppose there are plenty of people who live in France, and hate it in one way or another, but they don't take it as far as this poster. Christine Animal
The posts seem to have been deleted. [:)]Maybe this one should be too as it is only going to give his site more attention.
TWINKLE
I thought trip trip sounded very much like the bloke on the "Indian takeaway" thread last month? I can't remember his name - and I probably won't remember this ones by next week!
Albert the InfoGipsy
Funnily enough, I've just seen a reasonably sensible triptrip post in a thread on Certification of electrical work in the French Property area. However, it shows him (?) as having made zero (ZER0) posts. How does that work?
Cat
Don't bother looking at the website mentioned earlier, it hasn't been updated in yonks and is typical of many American anti-France sites. For something more interesting, that attempts to put to rights, and name and shame sites like these, try this insteadhttp://miquelon.org/
PossumGirl
This only confirms my initial thought that it was a Wingnut American ticked off by the results of yesterday's elections! Just a load of sour grapes.PG (HAPPY about most of the results; but HOW did Arnold win????)

Dick Smith
After 'serious discussions' - presumably along the lines of "you're fired".
Cassis
I saw TripTrip's posts earlier before they were deleted - what a hoot!!!Dick - "You're fired" is not a promising start or end to any discussion. Unless you are applying for a circus job as Human Canonball.

The Riff-Raff Element
Now there's a thought: Merkel, Royale, Clinton - three G7 leaders of the female type by 2008.

The Riff-Raff Element
Ha - will that be jaw, jaw rather than war, war ?
I can't help feeling that three female leaders would be quite a goodthing. Does our Hils speak French or German, I wonder? If not then theother two could probably get away with being quite rude to her. Thefurture of civilisation could be settled in the ladies loo at the UN. Frederick
It would be so nice to think woman prime ministers / presidents are more likely to talk rather than fight but ..unfortunatly past events in Middle East.. India and Argentina have shown that female leaders have also had to take their countries to war. ...like the idea though Jon
Coco
I asked several of our American guests back in the summer what the chances of a female President would be next time round, with Hilary standing for the Democrats and Condy for the Republicans. The view I got from most was that Condy doesn't have enough support and that Hilary doesn't have enough experience and will probably go for Mayor of New York before she has a go at it. Missed Trip's posts.
Russethouse
My American friend who lives in France usually says that she doesn't believe the American people are ready for a female President.......however Hilary is certainly ambitious and has a good idea of what the job involves, perhaps not next time but the time after would be more likely?Or maybe she would make an excellent vice President, a great 'running mate' for another candidate ? PossumGirl
What price Hilary Clinton for President next time round ?
I don't think she's electable, Russet. She's just too polarizing a force for most people. A lot of us on the left feel she has pandered too much to the right, and those on the right just plain hate her on principle!PG
