Jonzjob Posted December 8, 2006 Share Posted December 8, 2006 Thank you BB. My camera is a Sony DSC-F717. The one with the big fixed size lens stuck on the front. I am ashamed to say that since I stopped using my Nikon 35mm film camera I let the camera sort out most of the settings. I do use the manual setting sometimes, but on those 2 I left it on auto. It has given me some wonderful results and even does IR photography at the flick of a switch. Dick looked at how to do the same with his Nikon, but decided against it, big time! I used to lug them round on holidays and saw everywhere we went through an eyepiece.Now I have just one camera, a Fuji Finepix 6900Z with additional W/A & Telephoto tele-converters. This was with my Nikon 35mm film camera. Totally as it was taken and a once in a lifetime shot. With my Sony there is a 1/2 pressure where the camera sets it's self up and focuses. What I do is to point the camera at an object at about the same distance and light, etc. and keep the half pressure. Not too difficult. Follow the object you want to capture and when it's where you want it press the shutter button right down. Result, instant shutter reaction. And the photo you want, peut etra?
