So the new tractor arrived a while back from Ireland safe and sound no scam thankfully ! Purchased the log splitter in France cuts through logs like butter only trouble is humping the dam things in to position takes its toll on the back I had to crawl out of bed this morning. I am now in to day 2 of log splitting the picture below is one days work, I estimate that I have another 5 full days splitting to go ;-(

At least the sun is out and I can think of worse things to do.

hi,

after having 9 diseased chestnut trees cut down I am faced with splitting! The coin and heavy hammer my wife usually uses [:D]is not suitable for this huge quantity and I think an electric/hydraulic machine is necessary.

Looking on purchase in uk as cheaper and larger wattage for same money ,I found several bad reorts about 7ton Powerhouse model and a reasonable report on gardenlines Handy 6 ton splitter ,2200watt,at £198.

any comments asap thanks.

suppose that's what you get for not buying professional quality equipment ,if you had bought a PROPPER JOBBIE first It would be that easy  you could have got the wife to do it

It might be old..... it might be ugly...... but it was cheap and it works and....... it`s not the Irish version where the log spliter does not fit on to the tractors  3 point linkage  ..
