Tony F Dordogne Posted June 4, 2007 Share Posted June 4, 2007 I'm with wanadoo, very happy with service etc etc.I need to go back to UK and will be there for two weeks plus and in that time need access to my emails because of the business.I'm seriously non-techy so does anybody have any idea which password I would need to enter from another computer when I log on to the wanadoo web site to view my emails - is it the one from the original paperwork or the password from the download of the software? When we signed up with Wanadoo/Orange, I received 2 user names/passwords: one set for connecting the computer to the internet and one set for accessing the Wanadoo/Orange email (whether through their website or through Outlook Express).If that's what you mean, you use the set for your Messagerie to access your email via the website. Will Posted June 4, 2007 Share Posted June 4, 2007 If your wanadoo is the same as our Orange, which I think it is, you should have two passwords. One for connecting, the other for your 'messagerie' - the latter is what you need.You can change this password via the 'espace client' and 'mon compte utilisateur' pages on the Orange/Wanadoo web site.It is not difficult to set up Outlook or Outlook Express so that you can look at your messages in Britain, but you need the POP3 and SMTP server names for your account as well as the user name and password. It will probably be much easier to do as you suggest and look at your messages via the wanadoo/orange web site. Sunday Driver Posted June 4, 2007 Share Posted June 4, 2007 My PC (Wanadoo) is set up to automatically receive e-mails though Outlook Express, but I sometimes need to check the spam box on the Orange server. Will Posted June 4, 2007 Share Posted June 4, 2007 If you are taking your laptop with you and want to use your Outlook program, you will have to arrange a connection to the internet via a UK provider - any one will do. The wanadoo France dial-up will not work in Britain. Then you should be able to download your Orange e-mails. It's what I do, but I have permanent phone connections in both countries so it is simple.I think you wil be best off accessing the web mail via another computer or an internet café etc. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

As the others have mentioned, you will have to have a UK internet connection (through a friend, business connection, cybercafe or your own, if you still have a house there). Once you make the connection, you should be able to access your email as usual. Depending on your situation, it may be easier to use someone else's computer (and connection) and go to the Orange website to check your Messagerie. andyps Posted June 24, 2007 Share Posted June 24, 2007 In addition to outlook I now use google mail which enables you to set up to receive emails from other accounts than the google one and then leave the emails on the server so they can be downloaded to outlook etc. when you use it. That way it is really easy to accesse mails from any computer by logging in to google, replies and forwarding are possible - overall a great service.
