1.

Maybe I have missed the point somewhere. I am UK resident with a maison secondaire. I took a UK renault clio to use in France, and changed it to fully comply with all regs in France i.e CT, insurance , carte gris etc. It stays at the house in France permenently, but are you saying that now I have done this, I can't drive the same car to the UK for the weekend and return a few days later if I needed to?
Technically no you cannot.
You should never have a problem if you are NOT abusing the system and your vehicle is registered properly in its country of residence/registration. Always remember that your vehicle and its plates are noted by the authorities on both sides of the channel whenever you make the crossing. So if you are stopped by the police in the UK with a perfectly legal RHD French plated vehicle, it wont be that difficult for them to find out if you are abusing the system. I lived in France for five years with a properly imported RHD vehicle and visited the UK with the vehicle about five times during that period and I was never stopped. When I finally returned to the UK I simply went to DVLA with the French Carte Gris and was given my original registration number with a new V5.
 2. Thought this might be a useful link for those considering changing their Internet Security suite. http://www.dslreports.com/forum/r22068070-Norton-2009-user-reviews
 3.
Please explain.
Frenchie I love your new logo. So true.
 4.
And they called themselves gentlemen !
With reference to another recent thread. I was wondering if either owned a Rolls Royce and/or a Rolex.
 5. We went to the Notaires office and they photocopied them while we waited. I think the system in France is that the Notaire always keeps the originals and gives you a copy. I believe that the originals are treated as state documents.
 6. To my mind. Owning a Rolex is a bit like owning a Rolls Royce. It has a lot of status amongst the kind of people you wouldn't really want to be seen with.
 7. Tina That's a very nice thing to do. I'm sure a lot of people will appreciate that. Trevor
 8.

15 Security Suites are reviewed in the March 2009 issue of PC Pro (UK) magazine. Their “A List” product is Avira Premium Security Suite at £40 for 3 PCs and is summarised as “A simple, efficient and affordable package that delivers good protection across the board”. BullGuard Internet Security 8.5 at £45 for 1 PC is granted “Recommended” status. Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 at £50 for 3 PCs which was their previous “A List” product is described as a “strong contender”…..
and Norton is a mediocre 'also ran' [:P]
It is interesting what a difference five months makes to a "recommended" Security suite. 9.
That's not what Father Christmas was RRE, its simply what he and it has become. Bring back the days when you got an Orange and a Mince pie I say...............[:)]
So you had an Orange AND a mince pie did you????? I used to look forward to my Rupert Annual. It wasn't my idea but I did enjoy the stories. The pictures with words underneath were really interesting in those days.
 10. When I die. I'm not going to tell anyone.
 11.
How do you know he isn't BTW, some very smart, wealthy, and influential people thought Madoff was a genius. In fact, to get away with what he did for so long, he was !
It is slightly comical that Bernard Madoff "Made Off" with all the loot and then says he has nothing to show for it.
 12. To the original poster. If you do go the route of making a cable up make sure the crimp connectors match the cable correctly. There are two types of cable connectors for a) Multi stranded conductors or b) solid conductors.
 13. Nobody seems to notice that in the USA where the Republicans(Conservatives) have held office for the past eight years that there is a similar mess to our own. David Cameron should take note.
 14. As you move the mouse down the page the time displayed on the mouse pointer goes from 06:10 to 07:40 but the scene changes from daylight to dark!!!!! Maybe it should have been 18:10 to 19:40.
 15. "hard-wired VoIP business telephone system" Maybe Paula means something like this http://www.vodat-int.com/ In the UK they provide complete business telecoms through an ADSL connection.
