johnycarper Posted November 19, 2014 Share Posted November 19, 2014 I am sure this has been covered before but cannot find much,I use firefox at the moment but have suddenly started to get loads of pop ups and ads.Does anyone know a good free vpn site and I thought I read Google had their own add on to make you anonymous but cannot find it.Thanks. Spyder Posted November 19, 2014 Share Posted November 19, 2014 I'm not sure I get the link you are making between a VPN and the pop-up ads but if, as you say you are using Firefox (the best browser IMO) then try Adblock Plus https://adblockplus.org/en/ and Privacy Badger https://www.eff.org/privacybadger . I use both those and never get ads.For the VPN I use Media Hint https://mediahint.com/ (to watch iPlayer etc).Make sure you block pop-ups in the "options" content tab of Firefox Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
