CeeJay
Excuse my ignorance, but if when my son-in-law visits next week and he brings his sky card with him can I put it in my box and get the Sky sports option which he has?
suein56
Possibly not as I believe Sky cards are matched to an individual box. Our friend always brings his Sky digibox, complete with card, with him when he comes to stay in his holiday home.Sue

Jonzjob
I have to admit that I was in a bit of a hurry and didn't read all of it. Good luck and don't forget to let us know what happens.

Yonner
Hmmm. Is this a recent thing, because its what neighbours of ours do successfully when they holiday in Majorca
Cathar Tours
I think there is some form of family package that allows you to have two Sky boxes and two cards. It may be that that he keeps one box in Spain and takes the card home. Immediately you place the card into another Sky box for which it is not registered you will get a message up telling you. You can watch Free to View channels but not Pay to View ones (films and sport) but then you can watch the free ones with no card so taking a card from another decoder is pointless really. One thing is for sure the card is registered to the electronic serial number of the box and to change that you must phone Sky, it's always been that way.
