I want to cover a damaged timber floor with something to level it up before laying covering. The only thing I can find is 5mm plywood, which is, perhaps overkill. Any other advice, please? However, he tells me that often it is double faced over here (ie doen't have the bobbly surface on one side) so you might not necessarily recognise it for what it is.
