  5. 50's to 70's things seem to sell really well, coloured chunky glass and those horrid orange or chrome lights, if it's for pleasure then i guess it has to be something you really like. Rustic garden furnitur/.ornaments are good too, ( I just watch loads of antique collectors progs on the telly!!!!) but I also do go to antique and collectors fairs.

    A Sad Day

made me so sad I had to wait until today to reply.... he was such a lucky dog to have been loved so much and you were lucky to have known him.

  12. we are planning to do the exact same thing, I hadn't thought about planning permission, I assumed not because it's not a permanent structure. Ours is also 2.5 x 4 metres, so I too would be interested to hear if we need permission.

  20. our puppy has just had his rabies jabs and we are waiting for the results, there are 2 or 3 different jabs on the market and if one lot fails they can try the others. Our vet said it is very important to have the blood test 21 days after the jab because the antibodies are at their highest at that point and more likely to pass the test. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for our dog, although the results are late coming through, the vet will have to chase them up tomorrow and as we have to wait 6 months from the date of the test results we're cutting it a bit fine for the August hols.   Good luck to your friends and their dog, hope it goes ok.
  21. ok then, so does anybody have a good recipe for chocolateless onion bhajis??
  22. maybe we should have a special recipe section, so many of you have such good ideas. Funny how many of them seem to be chocolate based........
  23. we just bought a dish and all the fittings from ebay, we managed to find the position of the satellite on the internet and used a compass (and cheated a bit by pointing it in the same direction as British neighbours!!) it was really easy and I'm thinking if we can do it anybody can as we are not exactly the most technically minded of people. We bought a bigger dish and find the picture doesn't break up quite so much in bad weather as our friends who have the smaller one.
  24. going to watch the local news tonight as they have an ikea special!! they laid on entertainers early this morning to keep people amused until the store opened.................how desperate would you have to be for a meatball!!!!!
